Thank you so much, this has been my position on shaman ever since the patch released. Everyone is so focused on the damage (which obviously is getting nerfed) but overall elemental is a loser with this patch.

Farseer is very weak, fire builds are dead since they remove skybreaker fiery demise, master of the elementals feels out of touch with so many talents wanting you to use chain lightning and lightning bolt, thunderstrike ward is also very weak, EoGs but it's an awfull playstyle, its very hard to path to liquid magma totem, we can't even use primal elementals or fire ele just because they gave haste to the storm ele.

Overall it was a huge disappointment, the talent tree is a mess. Elemental was HUGE in Dragonflight, we had lightning builds, fire builds and builds for single target, great job overall, but once the nerfs hit hard people will realise how crappy the rotation and talents are.

Primordial wave is one of the coolest abilities that elemental has ever had but with the Echos build being so strong you can't even path to hit. PW was also a very good way to proc elementum equilibrium and they are very far apart.

4/10 unnecessary rework for me.

Feel kinda lost about shaman with the changes to the spec right now and the new rotation .

Lightning rod was a third of your damage in aoe on a passive/multiplicitive effect. And a big part of the reason stormbringer is so much stronger than farseer is that tempest also places one. It's a good start to hot fix that ability.

Don't ever try to predict anything in this game

I understand where you're coming from. Personally, I much prefer this playstyle, even with dead/bad talents, over what we had. I was sick of just spamming LB over & over. I'm actually pressing Ice Fury, and LvB, and using Elemental Blast in builds, etc ... There are still things that can be improved for sure, but I'll take this over what we had any day. The insane damage is also a giant plus lol

im a little confused pekto was playing m+ talents and he was running the talents that you said were dead and not running prim or lmt. I also think hes still using aftershock ? i was looking at logs maybe it wasnt updated?

Nice vids man. Im new to ele shaman and they are helpful.
One tech i learned in mists is if you place the wind totem and have the talent to remove snares, the tree guys don't stun anyone who is targeted because they can't be snared.

Anyone think ascendance is broken? In dungeons I don’t see it spread flame shock up 6 only 1 enemy. Lava burst only shoots that 1 target

"We have so many dead talents now" We have like 4 M+ and 2 ST builds that are all within margins and can be taken based on preference what are you on about man. Bond and Petko are running completly different builds in 13/14s

Edit: Like why die on the "Ele is a looser" hill when its factually just not true. Our gameplay is better. Our surv is still fine. Our dmg till tuesday is completly bonkers and will still be fine afterwards unless blizz overreacts. Just say that you were wrong and be done with it.

noooooo you're so wrong on this one.... your build it's not optimal at all!!! to m+ you go with echo and master of the elements, you go with echoes of the great sundering the only thing that you can change it's if you go with aftershock or sop, and you only pick p. wave almost just in raiding

ele shammy is the best spec in the game atm by a mile

Earthquake = 50maelstrom. Earth shock = 50 maelstrom. Why is echoes of the great sundering not just “Every other spender does X% amount more damage”

Personally, I really wish lightning rod was limited to one Target as I think that would be healthier for the balance of the spec and give you prio damage in AOE without as much potential catastrophic scaling

Farseer is currently really good for PvP, especially when you can get enough maelstrom to throw out 2 spenders along with instant Lava Bursts. I had a DH trying to gank me yesterday while I was killing elite mobs and I was able to turn the tables on that asshole as Farseer. It would've been a lot harder on Stormbringer

I agree with you 100%. Shaman just feels like it’s been homogenized. They took away everything that made ele unique and replaced it with a generic mastery and a burst cooldown.

Like you said they also broke half the talents on the tree but that’s true for most specs at the moment.

I can't figure out why anyone would think ele was a losing spec this patch when it was known that it would be able to pull an easy 5M on a 5 pack with barely any cds.

I like elemental in group situations, but solo delves feels super slow to me in comparison to enhancement. Although, even enhancement feels slower after this patch, like it seems proc rates on things has gone down too.

Also, there has to be a bug with elemental still somewhere as well to see that amount of damage pumped out seems crazy

There was alot of specs that had multiple builds at the beginning but the more and more tuning they keep coming out with is focusing on talents when alot spec honestly just needed aura buffs. The more they focus on certain talents, the more 1 specific build will out shine other by miles

What do you use Nature's Swiftness on? With Farseer I had Ancestral Swiftness Macroed to Primordial Wave. I would prefer not to have an extra button to push.

They are a loser in the patch, if they werent overtuned we have only lost basically half a spec... people are just blinded by the damage numbers at the moment. I enjoyed the flash/primordial farseer gameplay, that's all gone so we can get a 3 minute cd.

I'm sorry, but you are kinda wrong about no one is playing Echo of the Elements and Master of the Elements. They are in both the recommended M+ and Raid build. The build you are going with is the recommended open world / delve build. Regarding there are no build variation is also kinda false. We have way more builds options now compared to before the patch. You have the option to choose Aftershock or SoP - EoGS no EoGS - LMT, PWave or not. So quite a few builds with different playstyles which all perform quite close to eachother. Yes Farseer is dead, which is sad, but there will always be a best choice for any given class when it comes to hero talents.

Everyone that plays pvp is playing farseer... literally nobody plays stormbringer in pvp. And it's great. One hero talent is good for pve and other for pvp.

Is your game really low on contrast or the video recording? I know wow has this thing you either get good contrast and can't see anything in dark or get all greyed but this looks weird.

I still think Primordial Wave should replace Flame Shock, and it removes the CD. Elemental Blast to remove Lava Burst. Just my 2 cents.

Just do a Castsequence macro for the earth shock and earth quake with mouseover or at target and you dont have to think about it, great content gives a lot of clearity to ele shamans ^^
