My mother has lost the use of her taste buds due to having Alzheimer's and she's lost interest in eating and drinking and it's so difficult trying to get her to eat anything at all which is a worry.

Had a dispensary patient who is a chef. She lost her sense of smell and taste during the pandemic, and lost her career because of it. 😢

Some people are born without tastebuds. I was born without a sense of smell. I have to imagine what coffee smells like in the morning. During covid, I got to tell people welcome to my world when they lost their sense of smell.

After radiation therapy I lost half of my taste buds. It's not fun , cant smell much either.
