You are spot on! Off grid takes commitment and sacrifice.
ОтветитьI did it for a while. You are correct. You bust your butt all day, every day.
ОтветитьTakes lot of work but I'd say it's still freedom, as you're working for yourself at your own pace and not for someone else, and you don't need a constant income or have so many reoccurring bills. Working towards living off grid eventually, but it is a lot of work especially starting from scratch. And since I still have a job time is the big issue, only get so much time off. My off grid property is only accessible in summer for now, but once I live there I'll probably get a skidoo or a plow truck.
ОтветитьI love the sarcasm.
Don’t let Jeffery hear you say that. 🤣 Party on.
The only difference between my place and a downtown condo is the compost toilet, I run everything off grid 120/240V including heat, every 14 days empty garbage and compost. LPG for the gen only 65 hours this year filled on site, cleared the roof once. Stayed home 113 days this winter, no need to leave, my panels are vertical I don't have to clear snow or clean them.
Do it right or do the work for free.
Off grid is easy, homesteading is full time overtime job.
Freedom is not sitting on your ass. Socialists and commies sit on their asses too and they aint free.
ОтветитьYou choose to have a lot going on and that’s why your working all the time. You also didn’t set everything up to maintain it easy. You cannot discourage me from this. I know what I gotta do and don’t gotta do and it’s not a lot of work all at once it’s a little at a time
ОтветитьMaintenance on both cars & houses is a big deal. Either you have to pay the guys to do it or do your own work. Pick a lane.
ОтветитьA wise man once said "freedom cost a buck 0 5."
ОтветитьWell, Joel, you are my favorite bullshither! Yeah, living off grid takes a lot of work and effort, just like anything in life.
