stronghold might be the only game franchise in history to have sacrificed graphics, beauty, sfx, ost, voice actors for gameplay. it's usually the other way around. The first game was beautiful but had not a lot going for it, crusader was a bit sandy and then stronghold 2 was perfect but it was the ugliest piece of shit i ever laid my eyes on

been replaying SH crusader since the past 3 months and then I'm going to move to SH crusader 2 and then to Warlords. Wish they made a native Mac Port though, I have to use wine to play.

I know stronghold crusader is everyone's favorite but you should all give Stronghold Legends a try its so unique and fun to play.

I aslo played Stronghold 2 (new pc)

Stronghold 3 was fun, but they gave up patching the game and just left it😡😡 was so many bugs and crashes and they just left it broken.

I played Legends and Stronghold 2 a lot but Stronghold 3 graphics really turned me off from the game.

Firefly really missed the selling point of their game badly: designing castles in detail. Walls, crenellations, many variations of towers, that was their selling point ever. Ofc it went downhill with 3D.

The only game, the more it evaluates, the worst it gets...

I spent countless hours on Stronghold & Stronghold Crusader in my youth in the early 2000s. They were magical. The newer versions seem to have been overworked? I tried downloading one of the iPhone versions and it feels like they’ve added way too much and it’s lost its original feel. I feel a bit lost navigating around on a tiny screen for the amount they’ve put in 😂. Loved Firefly’s early work better, will see if I can find those nostalgic games again!
