I have never understood the purpose of Alexander beyond making a finite number of curtains for the Pethericks. Unlike Billy who is a complete workaholic, Alexander always seems to be a reluctant volunteer when he is asked to pitch in with other Chateau jobs. He does not want to go back to Austria. And Billy had to find somewhere else for him to go. Poor Stephanie. Let’s just see what Alexander actually contributes other than his presence at Lalande. Not trying to be mean but simply observing from past observations. Hmmmm.

Electric cars are great for the cities or even Europe but I find that here in Canada where you can routinely drive 300-400 km a day. Don’t forget if you want to drive from Toronto to Montreal it’s a 7 hr drive at 100k.🇨🇦

It always amazes me how narrow roads are in France. Your van takes up more than half of the road! I don't understand why all the communities don't undertake a widening of the roads. Are the road surface materials scarce? The USA is certainly not filled with freeways, there's a big rural network of roads, but rarely are they daunting for cars to pass. Also, mundane though it may seem, it was interesting to see exactly how an electric vehicle looks re charging.

I love love seeing all of you at lalande. It was a fun beautiful trip (for those of us who will probably never get to travel to France) and seeing you all together. Happy seasons.

The downside to electric car. Sit around for hours for it to charge. Unlike gas or petrol.

Alexander is going to love being at La Lande. He’ll have a wonderful time with Stephanie and Philip. They’ll treat him like royalty and he’ll have fun making things for the Château. It was so nice to see Michael and Stephanie together again. It was so cute that Stephanie kept getting caught on film because she’s usually the person filming and she’s not used to being filmed. Her reaction was priceless.

In NZ the window cleaner needs to be diluted with water about 25% cleaner to 75% water and so for the equivalent to 8 euro you would get about 20L

Where’s Alexandra now ?

I don't think I will EVER want an electric car, where you have to wait 20 to 40 minutes for it to charge. I live in Idaho and it's not uncommon to have to drive a minimum of 150 miles to get to the next town....with nothing in-between...no stores, gas stations, etc. Just miles of desert, mountain forests, or farm fields.

Too bad lalande kicked him out on Christmas eve.. l hope he ended up somewhere safe and welcome.

A great advertisement for electric cars, NOT! All that charging, but what you don’t mention is the fact that you cannot sell them secondhand because nobody wants the expense of a new battery, plus the fact that they are inclined to go off and drive themselves or burst into flames that cannot be extinguished, particularly on container vessels, or in your garage when recharging. I have two travelling rules, never go in an electric vehicle and never go in a private plane, unless there are two Pilots, a toilet and two engines. My rules, obviously work because I am still alive!

Does Alexander do filming for you Billy? Why must he leave?You said he does not want to go home, so he is from Austria?

Thanks so much for showing me the drive through France to drop off Alexander. What a beautiful place. I have only been to Paris but I would have loved to see the countryside. I come from Maslin Beach south Australia and I can no longer fly long distances due to edemea. Great show guys ❤❤
