My thoughts on Graham Bensinger and his Larry Brown interview
1. Graham is a likeable guy but not a good communicator. It seems he like he is too shy or ashamed to ask a question.
2. Graham only gives softball questions and lets his guest ramble on too much.
3. Larry Brown should only be grateful. What a career he has had. Does he really expect to get NBA coaching offers until he dies? Even the Dodgers had to let beloved Tommy Lasorda go.

Larry Brown is a legend. I've never seen a coach accomplish more with less than this guy. He's a real teacher of the game. If you have a group of young, inexperienced players Larry Brown and Hubie Brown would be my choices as coaches.

Hard to understand how he got fired on Christmas when the announcement that they were parting ways was a few days prior to Christmas. So I guess it was during Christmas season but not on Christmas Day or something. But at the same time if you look back at Browns career he was constantly hopping places. Sure he got fired from some jobs but there were a number of jobs that he bounced once he felt like the getting was got. At UCLA he left and then sanctions came down. At Kansas he left and actions came down. He went to the clippers and quit with years left on his deal to go to Indiana. When Indiana was falling short he quit for Philly. When he fell short in Philly he hopped to Detroit. He publicly flirted with other jobs and got bought out and went to NY.

He got fired in NY of course and took an executive role with Philly which he quit after a year to take the Charlotte job. He went to SMU and like all his prior times coaching in college sanctions came down. I’m sure it sucked getting fired but the offers weren’t flowing in likely because he had a history of jumping himself. You can’t spend decades keeping your eye on yourself and not showing loyalty and then expect the treatment you get to be different.
