Pirates of the Caribbean got me into one piece
ОтветитьThe og trilogy is AMAZING. I was a little to young to see the first one in theaters but i remember watching the dvd alot. Then my mom took my siblings and I to see the other two in theaters and it was such an amazing experience. They hold up so well.
ОтветитьI had the FATTEST crush on Orlando bloom in these movies. Insane how attractive him and keira knightley are
ОтветитьSo the end of the curse and the battle...
What you have to understand about pirates is the skill dynamic.
They aren't mercenaries.
They aren't professional fighters.
They're street punks and thugs, but on ships.
Meaning they can absolutely take over a merchant ship full of merchant sailors who've never been in battle.
They're drunken brawlers for the most part. They wield scimitars and cutlasses because those are easy to use.
But against trained Navy, they will absolutely get their arses handed to them.
They're not even that great with cannons.
Their MO isnl to run up on a laden merchant ship with a lightly armed fast ship, grapple their target and come alongside, jump on board and kill anyone putting up a fight. Usually with greater numbers of crew against regular sailors who barely know which end of the sword is sharp.
Offload coin and some non-perishable goods.
And then gtfo before the navy shows up and blasts them into oblivion or capture them. Maybe use some trickery and luck in desperation. Like Han Solo flying into an asteroid field.
I mean, as notorious as Blackbeard was, he got ended real quick once the navy caught up to him.
Same to be said for pretry much all the notorious Caribbean pirates.
So as soon as these undead pirates lost their undead advantage, it was over for them. Though it may have been better for them if they'd died by the sword rather than the noose.
My favorite movie series of all time. It's all good fun and the plot is so funny and just good.
ОтветитьThe fact they look back on Redbox with Nostalgia instead of Blockbuster made me feel old XD
ОтветитьCommodore Norrington was an OG
ОтветитьMaking a Harry Potter comparison earned a thumbs down
ОтветитьThis movie was based on the ride of the same name at Disneyland. The bit where the group of pirates in the jail trying to entice the dog that had the keys... was straight out of the ride.
ОтветитьTechnically the Lord of the Rings were filmed all at once between 1999 and 2000, so Orlando had a few years to chill before pirates :)
ОтветитьNot watching the end credits teaser?
ОтветитьThe CGI still looks amazing!! Kiera Knightly was like a minor, I think, while filming. Also it took her like 3 days to do the shoot of her jumping off the plank.
THEY DID SOME OF THE SHOOTS WITH ACTUAL SHIPS!! Some of the sets where half built like a ship and some battle/explosions where filmed with small models!!!!
I love the backstory the characters have with each other too!!!
I watched this when it was in the cinemas when I was doing a German Exchange with high school. Once on the ferry out, once there in German and on the ferry back. The moving of the ferry really worked with the moving of the ships on the screen 😊
ОтветитьWE NEED PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN :DEAD MAN"S CHEST REACTION NOWWW!!!!!
ОтветитьMaybe pirates is mid is crazy
ОтветитьThe music is so good in these movies.
ОтветитьWhat did the guy on the far left do to get all those random smacks lol
ОтветитьThe new Planet of the Apes movie has some fantastic CGI, so does the new Avatar (the blue guys) movie! Both use the same new water vfx effects I believe that's probably why it looks so real
Ответить“You had to Redbox to get movies”
Someone reinvent Blockbuster so the youths can discover the joy of killing 45 minutes walking aisles on a Friday evening to pick out a movie (or two) to watch
"Uncultured, no childhood... we just watched Star Wars a billion times" I relate so much.
ОтветитьMy first date was a Pirates movie
ОтветитьGuys! The pirate with the fake eyeball (Ragetti) is also the Wildling in Game of Thrones. He's the warg (Orell) that Jon Snow kills. His name is Mackenzie Crook.
ОтветитьI would not be able to count the amount of times I've watched the first 3 Pirates films with my mother and siblings, similar to Jack and Mckay's family it was always one of our go to movies (and is still by far my favourite of any live action movie/series), getting to see y'all watch it for the first time is awesome
Ответитьbruuuh, that "hello, chum" is still one of my favorite bits. such a good delivery. also Geoffrey Rush is fucking legendary in this film, i honestly think he outshines Jack as a character in this film atleast.
ОтветитьIt goes:
LotR
The Godfather
Pirates of the Caribbean
Harry Potter
Star Wars
Etc.
YES
ОтветитьMy favorite movie series! I've seen all five more than once. I'm glad you made this video❤️🥹
ОтветитьJohnny Depp told Disney that he wanted his character to have all gold teeth. Disney said no, but Depp went to get some of his teeth painted gold anyways
Ответить"drink up me hearties yo ho" Always gives me chills every time it's just so good
Ответитьjack sparrow is truly epic 🤣 we wer blessed with the first three movies of this franchise! johnny depp deserves as many movies as we can get out of him! true legend! Also kiera knightley in these movies 🥵
ОтветитьI'd give this movie about an 8.4-8.5. I think it's a little bit overrated
ОтветитьAt least they’ve watched Star Wars a billions times. Some cultural
Ответитьwhere did u buy that GoT egg thingy? I rly want to get one for my gf but cant find that specific one
ОтветитьCan someone else confirm the missing 4th hanging pirate? I've seen this movie countless times, watched even more reactions by now, never noticed that lmao.
ОтветитьOne of the best action adventure movies of all time.
ОтветитьHonestly, this is the perfect example of why most people watch subs. I was a kid when I watched Pirates of The Caribbean and I watched it on Spanish dub because as you can already guess I didn't speak English at all but when I started learning English, this kinda movies helped me a lot with the pronunciation and the intonation when speaking in English. There are a lot of things and emotions you lose when you don't watch it in the "original" audio. I know this debate always goes into a stupid fight but I strongly believe the best way to enjoy any media is how it was made in the first place.
Ответитьi love this
ОтветитьThese are my favorite movies after LOTR!
You must play the LEGO games, they’re super fun and hilarious
There's a FANTASTIC book that serves as a prequel called The Price of Freedom, 10/10 recommendation
ОтветитьFor clarification on the mechanics of the curse, you have to pull the gold directly from the chest to be cursed. Will and Elizabeth were never cursed because they were not the ones to take the medallion from the chest.
It was a struggle for the Black Pearl crew to retrieve all the pieces again once they stole it and spent it because no one but them knew it was cursed; they had to plunder every port town they came across until they could find every piece and return them. They did not immediately know it was cursed, either; Barbossa described the curse as being a slow torturous process where they can't be satiated by food, drink, or other survival needs and their body wastes away and decays but never dies. Jack stumbling into the moonlight and suddenly being skeletal and undead after only a few minutes on the curse is inconsistent with the lore, but honestly it's the clearest visual way to show the audience that he's put himself on equal ground with his opponent with the same immortality.
Will's father was the first person to touch the gold and remove it, so his blood was needed to break the curse once it was in effect. That's really the only thing "special" about him and his father (aside from... "a touch of destiny" that comes to fruition later in the trilogy)
The fantasy elements of the Pirates trilogy are really cool because they follow the rules of myth and folklore; they don't really need an explanation, it's just universally understood to be the way the world works and the story and characters go with it. I wish more fantasy movies/shows would return to that format rather than try to lean into gritty realism, because it really makes it fun and immersive.
Y’all should react to the rest of the movies
ОтветитьAlways fun to rewatch stuff here :)
Ответитьtrue jack owning the channel and everything is plot armor xD
ОтветитьOk so…first thing is that I absolutely loved this reaction BUT…idk how/why like 65-70% of the “jokes/funny moments” just somehow either went over y’all’s (bro on the far left laughed more and slightly less than that dude for bro on the far right…but if anyone they should be the ones laughing a bit less as they’ve already seen it, but it’s flipped somehow and they laughed more overall!? It’s odd🤷♀️😅)heads or just not y’all’s type of humor oss?
But that’s not really a viable excuse/reason either since I’ve probably watched damn near 45-50 reactions to this movie and the only ones similar were the ones where English isn’t their first language so 🤷♀️
But anyways like I said..this was still an awesome reaction my dudes! Looking forward to seeing the others here, as usual with y’all’s reactions 😉👌😅
Or sometimes it’s due to editing but 95% of the time we see those top funny jokes /moments here and their reactions to them so yea…idk wtf is going on there
Johnny Depp ❤
ОтветитьJack Davenport does look like Christ Evans though 😂
ОтветитьSo many mentions of the High Sparrow and The Warg got no love
Ответить
