Think about the golf swing as a geometric motion where everything that moves away from the target after address has to be put back in with an additional 3-5 inches of lateral motion through the imaginary wall that is on the target side.
By getting clients to move less off the wall it enables them to not have to depend on elite level rhythm, tempo and timing and it also allows us to raise the motion efficiency numbers which is always the goal.
The LPGA has an average motion efficiency of 76.4%, the PGAT has an average motion efficiency of 73.5%, and the average rank and file amateur golfer has an average motion efficiency of 30-36%. Knowing that going in it gives a coach a huge window of improvement that can be obtained via specific drills and dedicated work from the client.
At Forensic Golf Academy, powered by Atlanta Golf & Fitness Club, we work diligently, raising clients' motion efficiency via drills, technology, and education.
