they said Trump seemed interested in finding common ground with Democrats. has this ever happened? it is believable? are we supposed to think Joe and Mika believe this? they also said the country needs a leader to unify the country and it's too soon to tell yet if Trump is that leader. it's been nine years, it's not exactly a hot take. they hide beneath the mantel of journalistic privilege but also speak of "finding a new way forward" and discussing pet policies with him. are they activists? they cite Mika's diplomat dad meeting with adversarial leaders. are Joe and Mika diplomats? nope. but the arrogance is the worst. they're really angry their audience has the gall to feel betrayed. Mika says us being pissed is what an adversarial leader would want, so "congratulations, you've fallen into the trap." I suspect anything but adoring praise of their vision and brilliance would reveal what they have: utter contempt for their audience.
