Cool video, as a fan of Cave Story since release i HATE Nicalis so much, not only they release a rushed version for Wii, but BOTCHED the first remaster... to this day you can't play the Time Trials because there's a bug that, the moment you open the leaderboards of that mode the game crash... that shouldn't be a problem unless YOU ARE FORCED TO OPEN THE LEADERBOARDS AFTER FINISHING A RUN (also, there's a couple of achievements that don't work)
the worst part is that one guy released a mod that fixes everything a couple of years after the original release but Nicalis never fixed that

what about cuphead?

As someone who started Hades back in July, I can definitely say it's one of the best studios out there. I even have their previous 3 games in my cart and am gonna buy them on the Steam Sale. 😂Also, I def am trying Cult of the Lamb.

Cult of the lamb devs also have that old school newgrounder DNA in them. they made flash games on newgrounds when I was still a child and thats where their entire company started

People never really expected a devlog from team cherry, just confirmation that the game is still being worked on officially. They’ve been radio silent when sending a couple of simple messages indicating that progress is being made takes a couple minutes at most. It really is sad to see them destroy their reputation like this, especially since silksong is being made as a promise to the original kickstarter backers

Alright, don’t judge, but I’m legit an eleven year old kid who finished cult of the lamb and is clearing up some achievements right now. I have every bishop with the cult of the lamb trait, every decor, building, every no hit bossfight achievement, basically almost everything. I’m so glad the fandom has come together and went “yeah this is good” and got this on the list.
P.S. putting a halo on the lamb wasn’t what I was expecting but I mean I’ll take it lol

Gotta admit. I had no idea about any of that stuff regarding Nicalis. Cave Story was one of those little games I saw on the Wii Shop that was pretty cheap and I had a couple bucks left, it looked kinda fun, I liked the music I was hearing, and I thought I'd take a gamble. Turned out to be one of the most enjoyable games I'd ever played, and REALLY got me into indie games.
Sad to hear the company I got it from was shite, especially now after getting the 3DS version and such after years. Love the game, hate the owner, I guess.

I'd always kinda wanted more out of that title. Some continuation of plot or something. I always felt like Quote and Curly could have had more adventures, new places to explore, weapons to find. As a big fan of sprite-based games, it was right up my alley. And hey, if it became something more 3D, that's fine too (Curly's cute). It just had such a unique "world" to it (despite only seeing the one floating island). That lore could have been expanded on. I guess that's just the way of older games.

Just to add something, relogic devs listen to their fans, and most content and changes in the game are suggestions from fans, thats what makes them an awesome team

Larian is not a indie game studio, stop this narrative. How people still keep saying this is beyond me, it doesnt help other ACTUAL indie devs.

2 other studios I can put as good studios are
1. Landfall Games.
2. A smaller but a very good studio, Moonsprout who made a pretty decent game that I rank 12/10, Bug Fables.

No matter if Silk Song will be a masterpiece or a bad game.
Either way the entire Hollow Knight fanbase will break.

The only bad thing about Terraria is its price on Nintendo Switch (But let’s face it, EVERY game is expensive on Switch).

Can't believe you didn't mention Concerned Ape from Stardew Valley (and upcoming Haunted Chocolatier) who continues to release free updates for a game that came out in 2016. He's only 1 guy who does this for the love and passion of his game.
