As someone who has had to deal with the sticker residue thing for ages i'd recommend WD40, which desolves the sticker goop and then you can use alcohol to clean the WD40 residue (and the smell). A heat gun on low setting or hair dryer can help loosen most sticker gums. With the exception being the ones that don't use sticker gum. Those will dissolve with water most times. I have dismantled so many consoles and cleaned them up and put them back together. Nobody should wrestle with a console for 2 hours. Poor dude!
