This video shows the potential dangers of handling black salt especially when putting it in an enclosed bag with meat and anything else acidic.
Black salt is a food additive which is a mixture of sodium chloride and sodium sulfide. The sodium sulfide can react in acidic environments producing pungent deadly hydrogen sulfide gas which may pose dangers to those that dont know it.
In this video, a small amount is reacted with copper chloride to produce harmless copper sulfide instead of the deadly H2S gas which is used as an indicator to prove that sulfides are present in the salt mixture.
