I think it's way over priced for just a desk with no pc the desk alone should be around $ 150 to $ 200 but with the pc then ok just about $ 3,000 is ok bascule your just paying for the pc alone gave or take but for both I'd be ok with paying $ 3,200 $ 3,000 for the pc and $ 200 for the desk that seems fair. but just a desk with no pc when it just looks like a really nice camping desk / table is just about $ 3,000 is too high of a price for this desk so yeah just to over price without the pc.

Can pre-order a DIY base version at a price of $1,399.99... Which while still pricey, is a MUCH more reasonable price point for people that already have high-end pcs(which would be about the same price in parts or more) and just want to put the parts into the desk. Personally might save for the DIY base version myself.. Even if I won't actually be traveling with it much.

My grandpa tought me a very valuable lesson. Always get the new model of your car every year. He gets a new 2500 Denali pick up truck every year. He puts maybe 5k miles on it in a years time, he use to do alot more when he did more bass tournaments. Now I buy a new truck every year.

You should give that BMS a hot air reflow. If you don't have any obvious burned components have a look at all the solder joints. Visual inspection with magnification if possible or just take pics then pinch and zoom.

Did you ever completely remove power from the BMS. It's got a microcontroller, so a computer. What do you do when your computer hangs? Reboot right? Some of those BMS you can't be more than 20mv apart. I would remove power. Charge all the cells up and balance them and then reconnect the BMS. All it takes is one bad balance leads and that thing is going to cut off. Also make sure the thermistor is good, the little temp probe or probes. Meter in resistance mode, they are usually 10k sometimes 1 or 2k but get a meter on it then put your finger over the end of it and see if it changes as you apply your body heat to it. If the BMS has thermal protect it will not work without a working thermistor. Of course it usually the skinniest wires in there and people sometimes see this wire that isn't hooked to anything and just nip it off.

People bring me their batteries with a bad BMS all the time. It usually isn't that the BMS is broken, a lot of times it's just doing what it's designed to do. Unbalanced groups is pretty common, sometimes they ride to the point where the battery cuts off and then they leave the bike sit until the next time they want to use it and they throw it on the charger and it won't take a charge because the battery was already low but now they let it sit and the BMS uses power to monitor your the battery so it's leeching at all times.

Another thing I see a lot is pinched balance leads. You should pull the jst wire for the balance leads off and do a voltage check and make sure your voltage is going up the same amount between each group.

Now the other thing I see is low quality boards that just aren't really soldered all that well.

The fact that the battery meter also isn't displaying properly kind of hints at a balance lead or some other condition that's only giving the battery meter partial voltage. The battery led meter is usually a separate circuit and it's literally just a resistor and diode between each led segment.

The cells absolutely have to be balanced. Like real close. Usually applying full pack voltage to a tripped BMS will wake it up. Sone of them though you have to short the leads, use the tiniest wire you can find and try not to light your eyeballs up.

You could try to find paperwork fur that BMS but that's usually fruitless or yields poorly translated documentation that isn't really helpful.

If you are talking to that company you should ask because someone there is going to know the reset procedure for that BMS. They might even send you another one or...maybe another battery if you are lucky.

Even if it's a review unit I'm pretty sure they would like to see a follow up video with them providing you proper support for an issue that is obviously happening way too soon for a new bike.

On a side note... Junior's bike...the tread is backwards. I'm sure it not effecting ride quality on a normal basis but the point of the tread bring designed like that is for riding in wet conditions. The tread directs water back and away from the wheel so you don't hydroplane or lose gription. Not a big deal on a normal bike but we aren't going normal bike speeds now are we. The arrow points to the front kid. It's like playing where's Waldo sometimes to find the stupid arrow because they make them so small. The normal ultraverse you obviously know the yellow letters are on the right. Those are good tires, I have those on one of my bikes too but I may be switching to some big Harley Davidson street meats. Just need some rim tape and valve from an old tube to convert to tubeless. I'm a little worried about smoother tires with dual motors but maybe that just adds to the fun. I'm still deciding. Your a big guy, you should do dual motors. So much more torque, a guy your size would really benefit from it. Just like a 1500w up front and a tiny little 75100 FSESC.

VESC is the way to go. You learn the software for the VESC and you learn a lot about how these controllers work and everything is well documented and in English no less. You like to tinker, that VESC will keep you occupied fur a while and I believe he has added support for LEDs recently and believe it or not...using your motor as a speaker of sorts. A weird thing to add but some people use them for RC purposes so it makes sense for that. I'm just glad to see he is still actively updating and improving these controllers a decade plus later.
