More balls than brains. This man prob had that freakish brain that didnt process fear like the next 10,000 people. Those people make great soldiers, cops and test pilots. If they have a warp, these fearless types end up being master criminals
Ответитьjim rome being a dik way back then i see
ОтветитьMad as a box of frogs but boy did we love him? Evel Knievel, showman RIP
ОтветитьYou know who the hell I am
Ответитьthat is so cool.... and spoken like he means it !
ОтветитьThe best ever 🎉😂
ОтветитьWhen I was a kid we had Evel Knievel. Now kids have Logan Paul.
ОтветитьI’ll never forget that comment. I had a roofing crew of college age kids working for me that summer. For nearly a week they answered every question “you know who the hell I am?”
Ответить500th like
ОтветитьSo fucking good. The pause as he lets the question hang in the air for a second, then drops that bomb of an answer, with zero pretense or false sense of bravado. Brilliant.
ОтветитьThe best response from my childhood hero!
ОтветитьStill the best off the cuff answer of all time!
ОтветитьStill give me the chills. You know who I'm ?
ОтветитьEvel thought he had 0 chance of living through that jump
ОтветитьThe most hysterical, moronic thing he ever said was at the end of the "Absolute Evel" 2005 program. Told a goofy story about his great-great grandfather who was a gladiator in ancient Rome. He was so fierce that Julius Caesar had the fiercest lion FLOWN to Rome from Africa to try and defeat him. But he lived, and Caesar screamed "Why won't you die, Knievel!!?" LMAO!!
ОтветитьThis interview is frickn great !!
ОтветитьLong live the king
ОтветитьEvel initially praised Bob Truax after the snake River jump. Wonder what changed his mind?
ОтветитьI am planning to answer every interview question from here on with that response.
ОтветитьChills.
ОтветитьThe very first thing I ever worked to earn the money for on my own was the Evel Knievel Stunt Cycle. I was in 3rd grade. Back then you could still go find bottles and turn them in for money. The Ralph's near me was trying to get shoppers to return the carts. When you had enough tickets you got money. The boys in my neighborhood and I collected the carts and got books of stamps. After killing myself for a week, an eternity at that age, I had enough to buy one. I get to the store and almost all the shelves there were empty, except for an Evel Knievel Stunt Cycle on sale half off. The store was going out of business. So as happy as I could be I ran home and started to play with it and it broke.
ОтветитьI was driving home from school listening to this live. I drove home just in stunned silence. One of the most amazing comments ever uttered on a broadcast, radio or TV.
Hard to believe this was almost 20 years ago AND now its been 50 years and still no line of daredevils trying to jump that river. Long live Evel.
evel was solid guy met him at big daddys bar in fort lauderdale he did not care he was always ready for a fight!
Ответитьlol
ОтветитьThe “Skycycle” had no wheels/landing gear. If it made it over the canyon, onto solid ground, what in the world is preventing it, and Evil from smashing into a million pieces? Nothing. It wouldn’t just gently skim across the ground, that’s for sure. The early parachute deployment was planed. Still.., an extremely dangerous stunt. But I believe he never intended to actually jump the canyon.
Ответить😂😆
ОтветитьI was driving a brick truck when he said this. I will never forget it.
ОтветитьHe couldn't back down after promoting it, or his future and legacy would be destroyed. He would rather be dead than be a joke. Rome can't relate.
ОтветитьNASA = incompetence & fakery. We went to the moon. We can't go to the moon. Van Allen Belts are deadly. They are not deadly. Wait, they're more deadly than we thought.
ОтветитьNothing else to say, period end of discussion! Evel Knievel was one of a kind!! I had the EVEL KNIEVEL big wheel and the jumping motorcycle toy!
ОтветитьJim Rome is a total douchebag. How he still has a job as a sports radio guy is beyond me. Total jackass.
ОтветитьKnievel the bad as-, getting interviewed by tweetie bird, ah ha , it was a joy watching E.K. as a kid , very exciting.
Thanks for the excitement, very entertaining.
He didn't have the best control of his bike. Which gives him bigger balls.. He was a brave man!
ОтветитьIn reality he probably estimated a much higher chance, and just wanted to sound like a badass.
ОтветитьBest ever
ОтветитьIf I had half the nerve of Evel Knievel I would be nothing but a bundle of nerves
ОтветитьEvel Knievel!
ОтветитьDo you know who the hell I am? I was listening to this interview live and when he said that I about lost it. Evel Knievel was truly one of a kind, with more guts than virtually anyone on the planet. RIP
ОтветитьRemember that stupid song before the failed jump?.."And I know....if I don't make it.." All that sentimental bullshit...The guy is batshit crazy..
ОтветитьTrue alpha male.
ОтветитьKeep in mind, Evel made all motorcycle jumps on a street bike. That alone made him a badass.
ОтветитьThe wow factor of evel was unbelievable back in those days
ОтветитьThe last line says it all. Period
ОтветитьI'm hard pressed to pass judgment on a guy who performed quite dangerous stunts that most people would never consider.
Ответитьcourage is being afraid and doing it anyway. Evel didnt' have courage. Evel had no fear
ОтветитьA real life superhero back in the day! Got the wind up Evel toy for my 5th birthday, same year it was introduced!🇺🇸
ОтветитьEvel is the baddest dude EVER man
ОтветитьEvel was a pathetic excuse for a man. A punkass bitch if ever there was one.
ОтветитьThis is what you call a ZF Man a man that cares about zero fucks
ОтветитьYou know who the hell I am?
