We visited tourist attractions in Kandy.
Early morning we started from Dambulla. It is around 70km from Dambulla to Kandy. Kandy is both an administrative and religious city and is also the capital of the Central Province, SriLanka. Kandy is the home of the Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa), one of the most sacred places of worship in the Buddhist world. It was declared a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1988.
Kandy, Sri Lanka's second largest city, is one of the most popular spots to visit when you are travelling through Sri Lanka. Tourists often stop here on their way towards the hill country areas of Nuwara Eliya and Ella.
