ОтветитьLooks like the game boy mario 😅
ОтветитьHow do I start the game?
ОтветитьImagine this game on Nintendo switch online
ОтветитьWe somehow got a port of this for the NES, and it was highly playable and it was still just as hard.
ОтветитьIs there any rom hack of Super Mario Special for the NES?
ОтветитьMine crashed on 3-3
ОтветитьIs the sharp x1 the same level layout?
ОтветитьI'm not sure SMB2 wasn't released outside of Japan due to difficulty, More that it was on the Famicom Disk System and was pretty much just an expansion pack for the original.
But the difficulty probably didn't help.
Since this video was made a true romhack of Super Mario Bros. has been created that fully replicates all features of Super Mario Bros. Special without any of the downsides of playing on the PC-88 or Sharp X-1. It even has the choice between the coolour palette used in one of the official versions (I can't remember which one exactly) and the original Super Mario Bros. colour palette. It's the definitive version of the game.
Ответитьforget all that scrolling non-sense, ain't havin it
ОтветитьYou should definitely try the nes rom hack by Frantik, it's the definitive way to play the game and it actually stands pretty close in quality to the original Super Mario Bros.
ОтветитьReally awesome. I remember as a kid having weird dreams that there were tons of lost mario games that I would come across in the dream. Now it's becoming a reality kinda strange to me.
Ответить500
ОтветитьCONGRATURATIONS!
Ответитьdeoes anyone know any website or mod where you can play Super Mario Bros. Special 2023

ОтветитьIm glad this was in my feed.
ОтветитьPC98, 88 and most other Japanese computers are famously awfully emulated. This shows quite well on Super Mario Special. Seeing as on real hardware you don't get the black screen between screens, rather its more like a rolling fade in. Basically you go to the next screen a few tiles before the end of the screen, screen turns black and in half a second the screen is "build" column by column. So it's much easier to react to things than the black screen and then everything's there thing the emulator does. Also dont get the glitched levels on real hardware.
It's an decent early PC88 game but awful compared to later PC88 games and it's sad that the PC88 is most famous for this game outside Japan. Also a PC88 really isn't a PC, a PC88 is more akin to a souped up Amstrad CPC with SR line and later (the version of PC88 most games are made for) being more akin to a faster more business friendly C64.
So I guess we all know where the falling icicles came from, now...
ОтветитьMan, you should get your fonts fixed, the shitpc is clearly not set up for japanese fonts which is why all you're getting is question marks
I'm pretty sure the 88 game can run way better if the emulator is properly set up. But with question marks instead of symbols, there's no saying what the options are, even with a translator
This game.... ahh, I love this game.
ОтветитьIs it just me or did two of Bowser's hammers fly right through you near the end of this video?
Ответитьdude, super mario bros. crossover has super mario bros. special baked into it.
probably the best way to play it. and an offline copy isnt hard to find at all.

ОтветитьCongraturations with this great video! Don’t show this one to The Nerd though… 🙃
ОтветитьIm not sure if its still online or not but but theres a hack of this game available for nes its actually quite enjoyable its not difficult at all if i remember correctly it seemed easier than regular smb 1
