ОтветитьThese were so delicious and easy. I made them with Marcella Hazan’s tomato sauce and linguine, so cook time for the meatballs lined up perfect with the sauce. This is my go to for meatballs now.

ОтветитьAs much as I love Monterey Jack cheese, the Italian and me so won't allow it. Use a slice of fresh mozzarella instead, then after baking grate some Parmesan Reggiano or pecorino Romano. There's your flavor.
ОтветитьI'm definitely making these this weekend. I'm going to create a meatball sandwich on toasted garlic bread, which is something I like to order for lunch at our local Italian restaurant.

Used dried-minced garlic/onion instead of the powders.
Also thinking of adding garlic and onion better than bullion to the panade
I would have added some fennel seeds too.

ОтветитьOr you can make it into one long rectangle and have it as a meat loaf which is what we do. Same beautiful taste.
