When I watched it in theaters, this problem wasn’t there. Also on my copies of Star Wars, VHS and DVD, the problem doesn’t show up either. It’s almost like this entire video is making this all up. Weird

Just my opinion, but perhaps a lot of the ADR work in post-production for Carrie Fisher / Princess Leia was because the actress was so wasted she couldn’t deliver a performance. Sad, if true?

Im a fan of Carrie Fischer since 1979, dont get me wrong, and Im all for freedom of spirit and being yourself, but if you arent adding an adlib worth keeping, then just say your f*ckin lines.

I've worked in post production audio for 20+ years in Toronto and LA. I've been privileged to work with many people who worked on star wars and similar productions back in the day or people who apprenticed under these individuals. These kinds of films were looped head to toe most of the time due to on set issues. Sync was also much more of a challenge mainly due to the lack of tools we have today. We also have line changes etc. She was not swearing but simply not great at dubbing and line changes. Remember we can do WAY more today in PT with stretching and AI.

The assertion that her lip movements are out of sync & the examples screened here to support that claim are false. The SW scenes in "Carrie Fisher Can't Stop Swearing" are doctored as anyone w/access to the SW films on the big screen, VHS, DVD, Blu-Ray, the Internet or even possessing a good memory can attest.

Maybe Carrie Fisher (RIP you goddess!) swore incessantly, and clearly they had to do a lot of dub work in post-production, but it wasn't for the reasons stated in this mini-doc.

Every single line in Attack Of The Clones was dubbed because the new digital cameras were too noisy to get live audio on set.

Time for yet another Special Edition with all the lip movements CGI-synched to perhaps even less offensive dialogue.
I mean "walking carpet' is a bit harsh, don't you think?

I first saw Carrie in the movie Shampoo with Warren Beattie. In one scene, she looks at Warren and says "Ya wanna f**k?"
