Live mode on an Iphone is similar to the same feature on Olympus cameras which has been there for some years.
ОтветитьIf apple can do it, android can do it better
ОтветитьI respectfully disagree with your regardless if traditional camera or cellphone all depending on Individual photographer. All who shooting the shot
ОтветитьWow! I wish I saw this video years ago! Never knew about long-pressing to lock exposure and focus. Thank you for encouraging us mobile photography peasants ;)
ОтветитьProbably THE best video I've seen on how to use your phone as your main camera. I've been shooting more and more with my 15 pro max recently and have been looking for a video just like this. Thank you so much for the exceptional content. Will be ordering F/8 momentarily.
ОтветитьThanks for a great video!... it is worth noting that on ie. iPhone 15 Pro, you have 3 lenses (and on earlier Iphone Pro) BUT only when using X1 lens, you get the full 48 Mpixel, if you use 0.5X or 2X you will only get the old 12mpixel... also if you use "Portrait" mode on iPhone, you will only get 12mpixel..... and this is probably also for other mobile phones, just good knowledge if you buy iPhone because of the advertising of 48 mpixel :-)
ОтветитьCracking video
ОтветитьGreat video Gareth. I’ve only got a normal iPhone 15 but with 48mp I can overcome the crop issue. I’ll be taking it to London next Sunday for a 3 day solo photo shoot. I am wondering what case that is you have as I couldn’t see it listed. Also, it seems that with burst mode, the camera doesn’t focus for every shot, only the first which is a real bugbear.
Ps- great images and I especially loved the abstract car type shot.
Such a good teacher
ОтветитьSuper tips, thank you so much!
ОтветитьCan you remember the name of that iPhone case Gareth please, thanks
ОтветитьIsn’t strange how some camera company’s boast about pro capture! Apple iPhones have been doing it for years with live view!
ОтветитьI sometimes have my phone on a tripod or balanced somewhere and have my Bluetooth headphones in my pocket and use them as a shutter release.
ОтветитьAdsolutely brilliant i love this video keep up the good work..
ОтветитьGreat explanation on the iPhone camera👍👍
ОтветитьValid point and well know fact that phones can produce great images, but some just prefer the tactile experience of using a dedicated camera
ОтветитьThanks so much for this, you never fail to come up trumps - this has shown me a lot. I just never have the time to spend on my camera or phone to find all these nuggets of info & I miss out on a lot. Had fun just trying all this out 👌👍
ОтветитьI thought I knew my iPhone camera!! Thanks for some great tips
ОтветитьSuper useful video Gareth
ОтветитьWell explained — thanks for that. The brightness adjustment actually enabled some nice concert images, even with an iPhone 7+.
ОтветитьThanks for this Gareth, it made me take a closer look at my Oppo phone. I was surprised 🙂
ОтветитьSome great tips. I have always used a camera and not a phone but your tips makes it so easy to use the phone camera when the usual is not available.
ОтветитьGood tips and cool pics. Cable release shutter trip a fav. Can also use dedicated Bluetooth shutter release buttons, or (via accessibility) voice activation. Cheers!
ОтветитьSome great tips here that I never knew I could do on my iPhone. Especially the long exposure. Cheers Gareth!
ОтветитьReally excellent tips, Gareth! I have owned many iPhones through the years and found this the most informative explanation for using the camera ... thank you!
Ответитьtheres a “preserve settings” option in camera settings which should stop the camera resetting each time.
ОтветитьIt’s sad that you take photos of your kids in jpg and buildings in raw. 10~20 years from now you will regret that. May be a better advice is to take all of your pictures with the best quality you can, you never know when the “perfect” photo will appear
ОтветитьA great video Gareth, really useful even though I don't use an iPhone. Some similar controls with the android I use; {Samsung S23} especially the PRO setting. Thanks mate. All the best. Tony
ОтветитьThe touch and hold works on my Android Samsung S23 too. Useful. I didn't know that.
ОтветитьNice tips there could of done with knowing this before 🤯
ОтветитьApple do a free course at there outlets actually got something out of it myself. Anyway thanks love watching when I get the time. For the odd bit of information that I do not know.
ОтветитьOne of the most useful videos I have seen for a while. Thank you so much for making this 🙏
