It's amazing how quickly some people are to dismiss a claim, given how little we know about ourselves as humans and the world that we live in. We have little to no idea of our true history and even on this very earth, we've only explored about 5% of the ocean. There is so much more that we don't know in comparison to what we do know, or think we know. Many scientific discoveries that are proven facts today were preposterous or inconceivable not long ago. For example, when the 4th dimension was theorized in the 1800s, it was probably looked at as insane or mental and laughed off by the masses. It seems like the professor claimed to "investigate" things but was more so looking to dismiss anything he couldn't explain or understand. Instead of actually investigating and trying to learn more about the issue or occurrence, it sounds like he was just a skeptic who was actually afraid of or blocked out anything he himself could not comprehend. Humans learn and obtain knowledge and understanding by digging deeper, not covering the hole in the ground and pretending it's not there.

This also proves that not everything in religion is cut and dry. For example: Yahwism, Judaism, and Christianity don't teach reincarnation after death and in times of past one may be deemed a heritic and possibly even murdered for saying and believing James 3's story. Before people jump to conclusions labeling other people as heretics and condemning them, we should keep an open mind and remember that the LORD works in mysterious ways. We do not know what all GOD is doing in other people's lives. Jim got a second chance at life because he was cheated out of his the first time. Every person's life is different and unique and there are special situations in which GOD may act out of the ordinary because of special circumstances.
