I have one just like that one , But it as been beef up lots of channels . I've talked just about all over the world. And for some how , I don't know how I had talk to a man on Ham Radio. And who knows how that happen. LOL.

I've got a great working 142gtl if I'm not mistaken it's has the same inside components. But that's the radio I lost the final in and I replaced it with a Motorola final and it gets up pretty good now. Its got the channel kit and dial a watt. Good old radios!

Bought one new had extra channels added it has very seldom been shut off it was used a lot before cell phones for local communication still works good I am sure could use a tuning up after all these years, 2342 north west Oklahoma.

Those were not bad radio's, I have one up in the closet, hasn't been powered up in over 20 years, I spend my time on the ham bands, it has the UPD858 PLL in it, I modified many of those back in the day.
