On iphone 8 plus and downgraded back to 11.4.1 when I updated to 12 my battery life was terrible. The drain was so fast. Went back to 11.4.1 and battery life is great again

I don’t know but I installed a brand new battery on my iPhone 6S , but was still in iOS 11.4.1, and I just updated 2 days ago to iOS 12, and yes feels snappier , but faster , performance and all , except battery life , now that I’m on iOS 12 feels like my iPhone 6S heats up and the battery discharges faster 😭😭😭

This. This is why Apple is so great. My iPhone 6S from 2015 (which I already was extremely happy with) is blazing fast, and I can continue to use it with confidence that it will continue to be supported for perhaps a few more years. The same cannot be said for my buddy's S6, which he replaced last year due to many hardware and software issues...

I found a difference with iOS12. When you at the homescreen with no apps running in the background and you try to use the multitask it now gives a different type of haptic feedback. It feels like a heartbeat with 2 shocks, instead of 4 fast ones in a row. Maybe to boost out the healty / heart condition statements with the new Apple watch series 4 🤔 Anyway just wanted to mention.
