ОтветитьYour display is amazing! I do several craft shows a year. This year I had 3 holiday fairs in a row. The 1st and 3rd one were amazing - between the two I cleared $400. The 2nd one was awful and made $50. Our booth spots are definitely cheaper in KS. Out of the 3, I only pd $35 and it was for a school PTO. Great traffic and about $180 profit.
My best show was a local one that my friend sponsors. It’s free, fairly small (less than 20 vendors) but very well attended! It was Dec 7 and I made $240! Sold out of my snack stuff (Snowman Poop, Reindeer Poop, Snowman Soup, Candy Seeds, Angel and Elf Kisses). I sold a lot of cards of all types and gift card holders. Another hit was Nail File Holders. Brought 30 left over from other shows and all gone!
I think it totally depends on the dates and areas! Definitely don’t give up on craft fairs. I’m 62 and hadn’t done one in years. Now I do several and really enjoying it!
Keep up the great work and I hope your Christmas Season and New Year is amazing!! 😊❤🎅🤶🎄
Your booth is set up very nice. I like the the holders you got at joanns. This year was not a good year for me either here in New Mexico. Everybody i know that sell said the same thing. I didn't five shows this year they were all the same. Some were beter then others but they were only buying small. Good luck next year. ❤❤❤
Ответить❤❤❤
ОтветитьYour table and all your project are wonderful. It was just the wrong location. Craft fairs are hit and miss. Keep participating!!!!
ОтветитьYour table was so cute! I would love to see craft fair tutorials.
ОтветитьI do feel you on the timing. I did four this year & one was a 2-day event right after Thanksgiving & the rest were during the first weekend in December, I did pretty well. I did one event early in November or before Halloween & hardly sold. Love your channel. You create such cute stuff. I'd love to see your craft fair tutorial videos if you do them. Happy Holidays!
ОтветитьSorry that it didn't do as well as you hoped. Way to pull some positives out of it!
ОтветитьBeautiful display! Your prices were more than reasonable. Yeah, it it sounds like the date was not conducive to Christmas Sales. Love the tag kits! You are so organized, love the clear pricing!
ОтветитьW😍W! Your crafts, tables and prices are all FABUL😍US!
I think your too early date and looming election therory is 💯% correct. I did a show that day too and had the same results. I would love to watch a a Craft Show series put on by you! 🥰💖
Nice set up 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you for sharing❤😊 I love
Wow! Your display looks so nice. Unfortunately, I keep hearing from other crafters that things just didn’t sell this year. Thank you for sharing. ❤
ОтветитьAwesome display, such hard work went into these items…
ОтветитьNice setup.
ОтветитьYour table looked great and you priced everything so well.
ОтветитьI'm so sorry things didn't plan out. This past weekened I went to 2 craft fairs at high schools just to check out to see if it's something I want to do and got info from a vendor and after I felt like I could do this. One thing most are very friendly and some don't even interact so I kept moving with those but then I thought maybe there expectations and sales were not what they hoped. Yes to Candy cane seeds and Thank you for the followup 🤗
ОтветитьI'm so sorry for the vendors like you. It is terrible the organizers of the show are not doing enough advertising, and they are charging too much. Charging for the tables on top of the high space rent is crazy. And they ask you for a free gift to stimulate customers, what a nerve.
Your products are very well made and set up, plus super inexpensive.
Beautiful display & items. I love that you still feel positive even though it wasn’t great and you are willing to keep trying. Your stuff is so awesome.
ОтветитьSuch a cute setup and items friend ❤️
ОтветитьYour projects and display were wonderful! Hopefully you can move some product through your Etsy shop. Happy Holidays!
ОтветитьI am new to your site! I, too, love, paper crafting and participated in many past shows. Your display is absolutely charming and so easy to shop. The displays are clean and easy to view all merchandise. Sometimes the shows are wonderful and other times slow. Your creations & prices are winners!
ОтветитьYour table and products looked amazing!
ОтветитьWow! So much $$ for you to participate! That really makes it tough to break even, let alone get ahead. Your set up looks very nice. How much advertising did the event planner do?
ОтветитьEveryone now hasa cricut or silouette so everone is doing thE same stuff ,BUT WOW $110 thats insane
ОтветитьGreat tips! Just subbed. I am interested in diving into this venture.
ОтветитьWould love to see whats in the stationary kits and those candy cane seeds are cute! Your suggestion to walk the fair before signin on is spot on. I only do one and did pretty good but definitely not my best year. The one I do is close to Thanksgiving so Christmas is the focus. My best seller is cider/coca mugs.
ОтветитьI have been a vendor for about 9 years. Shows are always going to be hit or miss. You might do really well one year and not so good at the same event the next. My first impression of looking at your set up is that the table coverings are not allowing your products to be the stars of the show. I suggest using a neutral color. I think that would help with getting customers to stop and look.
ОтветитьYour set up looks amazing! So organized and pleasing to look at!! Sorry there wasn’t better traffic for you. That is a bummer. Hopefully you’ll make it up with the next one!
ОтветитьLove your setup! Our area here in Michigan seemed to have less shoppers as well. Even near the holidays. The shows in December do much better because shoppers are looking for those stocking stuffers, teacher gifts, co-workers, etc. I also try to keep my items low priced so they don’t say…”I’ll think about it” and they buy on the spot! Your prices looked great! Your booth fee seemed steep!!!! I try to find some less expensive ones that are still busy and bring my own tables. Love all of your products, too!
ОтветитьI am done with shows. I have done this for 2 years and both years were frustrating. I make things out of pretty paper. This year, I did 2 shows in the Fall. One in Sept and one at the end of Nov. I am thankful i doubled my table fees in sales at both shows, but that wasn't much of a profit for all the work that went into this. At the Nov show, i had a whole table with Christmas goodies but not many sales. My biggest seller at all my shows is my post it notes. People loved my other items but just were not buying even though both shows were well advertised and had lots of foot traffic. It has just been frustrating making all this stuff and trying to figure out what they want. So, for now, i am going to set up a online store on FB and try to sell that way and make custom items for people.
ОтветитьYour tables and products look great! That fee is insane! The highest I paid this year was $35. I would definitely choose a fair closer to Christmas and look for one with a lower fee. School fairs tend to do well.
ОтветитьCould you please do a quick tutorial on the teacher kit? So cute!
ОтветитьThanks for sharing! Do you have a video for your stationary kits and I would love to see one for your candy cane seeds. Sooo cute!!
ОтветитьYour display is so organized and really great looking. Thanks for sharing your experience.
I love watching your videos as much as I can!😊
Your prices are awesome. I make cards and I am a cheapskate.😂 And most people look at homemade as “cheap and too expensive “. They are not thinking about the time and love that go into them. I would have definitely bought at the prices you have. Many others price their cards too high. Your projects are super cute and packaged beautifully. The candy topper bags are so fun! They would all make AWESOME stocking stuffers.
ОтветитьLove everything you had for sale, wow could'nt even get rid of candy, that's a tough crowd hahaha
ОтветитьI've watched many crafters and craft fair recaps this year and it seems like everyone didn't do very well or as good as past years. I did 2 fairs this year and even the crafters that were at those shows said they didn't do well this year compared to past years. Not sure why, but like I said to the others crafters at my recent fairs. I dont do it for the money I do it to make friends and for the sense of community found in fellow crafters. I always do fairs and if I at least make my booth fee back I'm happy. I know its hard to look at it that way because everything is so expensive now including our craft supplies but I truly enjoy talking with and making friends at the shows.
ОтветитьSad …such great little gifts that are handcrafted. That fee did not help at all.
ОтветитьThis year craft fairs were a dud for a lot of us. It was the election. It created too much fear and stress about the future economy and people did not spend any money if they didn't have to. I sell cards and journals, and my friends sell painted art, dyed textiles, and collage pieces. And this year there was a glut of jewelry makers and pottery vendors (both of those items have cheaper materials in their finished goods so COGS is low). I really enjoyed this video and the previous one showing what you had made to prep for this craft show. I subscribed - looking for ways to improve my products.
ОтветитьIf your doing a summer sale. You can try a Christmas in July area???
ОтветитьSo this year was such a struggle and we did multiple fares this year… We usually only do about maybe two in a year just because they’re very hard to get into around here because they’re so few fares it seems like or you already have to have been a vendor in the past and be on their list. And It’s such a pain lol but we ended up doing about six fares and we struggled. We had one decent fair in October. It was actually the end of September beginning of October. I don’t remember the exact date… And I think the fee was $25 and we sold about $125 worth. Every other fair up until my very last one was such a dud that we lost money because we never even made back our table fee. And then my final crafter was actually a free fair that they did at an assisted living facility and we made over $200 almost $300 and it was amazing. Because thanks to that fair we made back all of our table fees. Honestly, I just really enjoy crafting so I’m just taking them to basically make my money back and maybe a little bit more to make more crafts with. So I’m not really doing it for the money per se as much as I am to meet with other crafters in the area and kind of maybe interact with people. Because I work from home. I’m a writer and I don’t really talk to a lot of of humans on a daily basis except for like my friend and my mother and my father, lol so doing the crafters allows me to interact with humans in public. 😂

ОтветитьI love your outlook and how you still took away positives from your experience there. I'm sorry that things didn't work out financially, but, hopefully, the connections that you made that day will pan out in the future! Oh, by the way, your setup is amazing! It's clean, professional, everything is in sight and it's not intimidating. Just great! ❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤
ОтветитьI'm actually really interested in your teacher kits if you put them on Ko-Fi or something next year.
ОтветитьWhat is the standard card size I see in many projects to purchase? Newbie here😊.
ОтветитьBest setup I've seen so far on this channel. Keep up the good work.
ОтветитьI appreciate you sharing the results! I’m sorry it wasn’t profitable!😢I am a new subscriber and a new junk journal maker/ paper crafter. I would love to attend a craft fair but I don’t have much inventory. Any suggestions? Ty!
ОтветитьIt’s all really pretty and comforting! I would’ve definitely gotten quite a few things❤I love your kits🥰
