Ott tänak is one of the best wrc drivers and doesnt crash alot but when he crashes its always very bad

He was basically a passenger when he steered left, Car bounced so much that no grip was found for him to be promoted into a driver again

There is a longer shot where you can see what went wrong, the car bottomed out (not unusual in rally) but then hit a pair of back to back undulations as it was transitioning from the right turn to the left that it bottomed out on again back to back causing the car to skip wide. When you spend your life on the limit sometimes you exceed it.

For whoever wants to know yeah this is real , both driver and co driver were okay both walked away from this , there's also a in car video clip that shows more than this and how long it took for the car to finally stop was just amazing respect to the safety restraints and protection

If you watch the view from inside the vehicle, the interior literally looks unscathed afterwards. Whomever built the roll cage did an A++ job!
