Vast of Night is a work of art.

A great sci-fi movie, I found on Tubi, is titled “Robot World”. Don’t let the name fool you. It’s not what you think.
The pace of Robot World is fairly slow - hang in there - it’s well worth it!

Vast of Night is a very good movie I recommend it highly!!!!

The Crazies is pretty scary because of the premise of the movie. Biological weapons are deadly and once loose there's no way of stopping it. It has to run it's course, and no telling what it will do to the body and brain.

The Abyss is really good and The Crazies is a decent remake but the rest look boring rubbish.

Have seen The Abyss and The Vast of Night, both of which were excellent in very different ways, so it makes me think that the other offerings should be worth a look. I prefer more thoughtful movies rather than big action, so this may be a good list for me - thanks!

Is the thumbnail from an actual movie, or just a draw in?

I love sci-fi, but only the abyss looks good ( and I have watched this one and many more), but no there on your list, thanks but no thanks!

no mention that "The Crazies" is a remake of a an early 1970's film by George A. Romero. from the pictures it looks pretty faithful to the original but also therefor a bit redundant, as way too many remakes are.

really enjoyed "Sorry to Bother You" and "The Vast of Night' ...and really wish "Vast of Night" was available on disc. in both, the dialogue is one of the stars.

If you're going to watch The Abyss, make sure to watch the Extended Directors Cut, not that hacked and chopped Theatrical Release. The ending makes WAY more sense.

I liked Sputnik. Never Let Me Go was depressing as hell, but powerful; very faithful to the book. The Abyss remains a classic. Can’t say I’ve seen the others.

The Abyss is fantastic! I bet I’ve seen it two dozen times!

The Abyss was the only good film in this list (in my opinion). I used to LOVE renting independant or B films from the video store in the 80s and 90s. But now that Amazon, Netflix, and many other platforms exist, there are too many that we have access to. A lot of them are brutal and bottom tier.

I love sci-fi but none of that looks like it is worth watching except The Abyss, that was a good movie.

Yeah. Every time I see any of these lists, I'll check out the suggested movies, shows, etc.
And 90% of the time, they suck. And I like a lot of stuff most people don't.
