Looking at the bad faith being demonstrated toward Ukraine and the poor fiscal choices that impact global finances, and repeated brinkmanship regarding Federal debt ceilings and budgets; the desirability of US Treasury securities as a safe haven is falling. The accompanying risk premium will appropriately increase interest rates at the exact time the Federal government will need to borrow money to finance exploding federal deficits.
One explanation for these moves is that MAGA wishes to devalue to dollar in an attempt to reduce the trade imbalance. A cheaper dollar increases the prices of all imported goods in the same way a tariff does.

Remember how in his first term he tried to negotiate with North Korea and had a few meetings with Kim? As soon as he found out there was actual diplomatic work to be done he lost interest and we never heard of that again. The "peace process" was doomed from the start and Trump knew it. What kind of peace can be established between Putin and a country he really believes is still part of Russia. Putin won't even sit down at the table with Zelenksy because he claims he's a fake leader of a fake country. Trump is no genius but he is constantly advised by top intelligence sources and had it planned out so he could act like a benevolent peacemaker confronted with an impossiiblle situation. The result: abandon aid to Ukraine and break off NATO connections to leave the field clear for warlord Putin. I can't believe anybody could actually be fooled by all these fake disputes between Trump and Putin, since Putin is consistently the winner and Ukraine and Europe consistently the losers.

Before we include the insulting demand of elections before President Zelensky can engage in peace negotiations with the dictator Putin,, we should insist on free and fair elections in Russia itself. Remember, Putin stole another election in Russia in 2024 so that he could continue the 2 + decades of his dictatorship after murdering political opponents such as Alexei Navalny and imprisoning others, refusing the formation of independent political parties, eliminating term limits on the president, controlling the media, controlling the courts and election commissions, eliminating a free press, free speech, freedom of assembly, and Putin's regime continues to use the instruments of the state to imprison, torture and murder those who oppose his dictatorship and his illegal war.
Putin and his AXIS allies want to manipulate Ukrainian elections just as they did in Georgia, Belarus, Venezuela, Romania, and Moldova with the hope of causing division and eventually capturing Ukraine politically while they destroy the country militarily.

Trump has never forgiven Zelensky for not starting an investigation of Hunter Biden which he believed would help his 2020 re-election chances, and as leverage, Trump with-held desperately needed aid to Ukraine which led to Trump's impeachment. Later, when Biden was President, Trump and his allies blocked aid for 6 to 8 months to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan, using immigration as an excuse, until April 2024 when Congress finally approved a $95 Billion dollar aid package to these American allies. The delayed aid resulted in the loss of Ukrainian lives, infrastructure and strategically important territory putting Ukraine on the "back foot" as it faced the full power of Putin's war machine. The delay in aid also had a negative impact on the morale of Ukrainian soldiers and civilians who were fighting and dying for their independence, their democracy and their liberty who felt abandoned by the land of the free and home of the brave.

UKRAINE IS THE FRONT LINE IN THE GLOBAL DEFENSE OF DEMOCRACY AND FREEDOM AGAINST AXIS IMPERIALISM!

When it becomes clear that we can not negotiate our way to peace in Ukraine, we should remember that Ukraine is on the front line of a war against the AXIS countries (Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea) who are committed to the destruction and defeat of the world's democracies. The evidence of AXIS intentions include:

the joint military exercises of China and Belarus on the Polish Border in 2024; the presence of Russian nuclear missiles in Belarus in violation of the nuclear non- proliferation treaty which Belarus had signed; Iranian drones and missiles and North Korean artillery shells raining down on innocent civilians every day in Ukraine; thousands of North Korean troops engaged in active warfare close to NATO's borders:; Russia and its AXIS allies and proxies are engaging in hybrid warfare, acts of terrorism and sabotage conducted by Russia, throughout western democracies including the cutting of undersea cables, the murders committed against those living within NATO countries, the use of malware and ransomware against companies and infrastructure, the positioning of explosives on airlines, the disruption of airline communication and navigation, and terrorist acts against civilians, etc. China continues to provide Russia with the monetary and technological support which is extending the duration and the destruction of the war in Ukraine and now China is providing mercenaries who are fighting in Ukraine:-China continues to oppress the people in Tibet, and the Uyghurs while destroying democracy in Hong Kong,- Finally the AXIS actions to destroy democracy are clearly found in the blatant Russian backed election interference and the use of TikTok in the last Romanian election, the Georgian stolen election which resulted in Georgia stopping its application to join the EU in spite of mass protests, the blatant Russian election manipulation in the Moldovan election as Russian and its AXIS allies used the "Play Book" of "State Capture" in an attempt to destroy democracy and install AXIS allied regimes.

Putin has not given up his goal of conquering Ukraine and he will never take the steps necessary for a lasting and durable peace when he sees America capitulating to Russia and abandoning its ally Ukraine. As a result Putin will not acknowledge and provide reparations for his war crimes and the massive destruction of Ukraine's infrastructure and cities. Russia will not return the thousands of children abducted from Ukraine and taken to Russia. Russia will not stop its brutal war with Ukraine until it has conquered Ukraine.
Negotiators defending the future of democracy and freedom in Ukraine and the world should not have started by accepting the unreasonable demands of a corrupt dictator who has shown no interest in ending his imperialistic designs on the free world. Putin is a dictator that has not honored any ceasefire or agreement he has ever made. Putin only backs off when confronted by unyielding power, resolve, and strength. The debacle in the oval office between Trump and Zelensky was a victory for Putin and Russian imperialism!
