thank you for this knowledge. i truly appreciate the effort and god bless you.
ОтветитьI just did the thing with the eyes being covered... My sight didn't change. I closed my right eye and I saw everything I was already seeing with the same depth perception. only the right peripheral vision went away.
ОтветитьI fall from the 2nd floor of the house of my uncle when I was 9 yrs old. Now Im 26 years old, Is my brain already rewired?
Ответитьi feel very uncomfortable while seeing the brain in this video
ОтветитьMy optic nerve is damaged.
ОтветитьI am blind, but I can still see.
ОтветитьIn 1950, there was an experiment where they made people wear upside-down glasses for a prolonged period of time. Because of the glasses, they were initially seeing everything upside-down. But after a week or so, their brains compensated and flipped the images upright, so they saw things normally. When they stopped wearing the glasses again, everything looked upside-down and they had to reacclimate.
ОтветитьI know this sounds weird, but I didn't realize I lost a lot of my vision from a seizure for quite a while. This was temporary and my vision recovered after a few hours, but the piint is that I didn't immediately realize that I couldn't see. Luckily my vision has never been permanently damaged or effected that severely since, but the fact I didn't immediately notice is weird to me.
How does such a miscommunication happen? How come the brain can think it's recieving visual information when it really isn't? Is this cortex damage or something?
I am in college for dance and we have a physiotherapist for the school. He is blind, lost his sight over 20 years ago when he was about 20 , he is amazing! His experience and knowledge are really incredible
ОтветитьI know I'm late to this video, but being totally blind at age 10 and now for 25 years I use this analogy when people ask if I have "heightened" hearing or touch. I say, my eyes or fingers don't hear/feel better, I just process more information about what I hear and touch. Kind of my hearing is that musical instrument example you gave, but I had to continue practicing it for the rest of my life, no choice. so I'm better at hearing/touching/processing other senses, because I've had a lot of practice. and your example of how the brain reorganizes itself supports that since Its not an increase in the hearing/feeling, but a better/larger throughput of processing. Thanks for the video and I'm enjoying lots of them at the moment.
ОтветитьIf i'm gonna close my eyes for enough time to get my super power for the place of visual cortex and open my eyes with new skill, than the skill disappear ?
ОтветитьThe concept of the human body freaks me out.
ОтветитьThank You So Much For Sharing A Very Interesting Video But Not A Happy Subject Blindness @ Institute of Human Anatomy 👍👍❤️❤️
ОтветитьI appreciate your videos. I was struck on the side of my skull by my toddler and all of a sudden my right side started seeing static in my vision. Went to an optometrist, then ophthalmologist just to be my eyes are fine..yet couldn’t see e right…got an mri and was diagnosed with MS…from lesions on my brain and optics nerve..was really devastating..could y’all do a video on how many affects your body..? :/
Ответитьthis channel always helps me study
ОтветитьI don’t have vision in both eyes at the same time. It’s from a failed surgery as a kid
That also makes sense because I have phenomenal hearing and I can’t do tasks without using my hands.. like i need to feel the plug and outlet to successfully plug the item in for example.
Reading is hard as ever and I am so grateful for audio books!
"If you dont use it, you loose it"
Me when i sit on my butt all day every day when my legs suddenly just fall off
Please make a video on Retinitis pigmentosa. 😢
ОтветитьI wonder if an eye is damaged, can it be replaced with an artificial eye that functions? Or a surgical operation to transplant the eye?
ОтветитьThank you for this video!
ОтветитьI got shot in my right eye by an arrow when I was 11 so I don't really have depth perception anymore. I do find it hard to estimate distances sometimes, when someone hands me something for example, but I have been able to adapt to using other queues in other occupations such as fencing or driving. That is, I've learned how to tell if I'm gaining on a car or if I'm within distance with a sword. It makes me wonder if there are any changes in the brain that help process depth in the absence of my binocular vision.
I'm almost at the point at which I've lived more of my life monocularly than binocularly so I don't even really remember what it's like having two working eyes.
I have light flickering in my home and yes it sometimes feels like terrible. It hurts my eyes so much
ОтветитьSome become Daredevil.
ОтветитьWow. Thank you for taking the time to explain these videos to us.
ОтветитьWhat would a brain from the human being anatomy do if you threw it in water? With just brain and eyes
ОтветитьOur Earth was low human being anatomy. Compare with what's out there? HUMAN BEING SCENTIST CONTROL HUMAN BEING ANATOMY. I got droped from human being anatomy. I'm not a human anymore. I WAS A SEA MAMMAL WHEN I WAS A BOY. I HAD WEBED FINGERS. Not heavy webed fingers a diffrent time. My legs evolved then my shin snaped to the back of my leg and mh legs morphed. Somebody fooled me they stole my legs. Scientist stole them. They Angled my trajectory in my head. You see I'm a real boy here. Just want to go back home to eternia Now adays were lower in food chain than ghosts. That rule us. Poltergieist
ОтветитьCould you guys collaborate with Huberman Lab and teach us all about the central nervous system? This is so beautiful
ОтветитьThank you so very much for your informative videos. I am so obsessed! I have a request please. Would or could you do a video on how the brain reacts to a person losing their sight and hearing completely? My brother is 64. He is completely deaf and at the age of 40, lost his sight. I would like to know if he can remember colors, shapes, things, faces in his mind now, or are they fading over time.
ОтветитьYet another excellent video. Thank you!
ОтветитьSo a child born with nonfunctioning eyes isn't really blind - they just visualize using senses other than sight.
Ответитьi have two forms of nystagmus with around 10 percent of sight and no depth perception.i struggle with so many hidden issues every day.this Video was so informativ.this channel truly is amazing
ОтветитьI'm 31, was born with nystagmus. I could see better when I was younger, but I've lost a significant amount of the vision I had. Now I really don't have any depth perception, and I can no longer recognize faces. Not completely blind though. At least I can remember what things looked like.
ОтветитьI have a tumor on my 3rd nerve and internal carotid artery. It paralyzed my eye at 2 y.o.
So I don't have much vision out of that eye. About the same as you have out of your peripheral vision.
About 35 years ago they found the tumor and removed as much of it as they could. I went from being able to count fingers out to 3ft. to 6ft. And my attitude and comprehension improved as well. It was like having a new part of my brain begin working.
But being they couldn't remove all of the tumor so it has grown back.
Your contact number sir
ОтветитьHelp sir
ОтветитьI was born with one very weak and crossed eye.... my brain just literally turned that info off.
I'd love to do an FMri to see how or if there are any obvious structural differences between the two eyes as far as connections to non- sight based info. Mostly because I do have a heightened skill in hearing ... larger frequency range than most, and quite good pitch and distance hearing.
Brain is very much connected with eyes
ОтветитьJesus loves you alot trust in His death 4 salvation and be saved from eternal hell <3 Jesus died on the cross for you bro.
ОтветитьThe body is just out of this world.
ОтветитьAll praises for the creator.
ОтветитьGot an idea for a future video "Why do my feet sometimes feel warm when I urinate?"
ОтветитьAlr watched gr8te l0l jok Emil evtli STIL need topi kimda|| profusely N proficiently do thingz fr of€
ОтветитьAnyone else get a eerie feeling as he stroked the brain model with his fancy metal rod
ОтветитьI see the devastating effects of vision loss in family and friends and I'm very humbled and have gratitude that is 65 I still have Good eye health. I do have poor visual acuity in that I need glasses but that's been that way since I've been 12 years old. But my eye health is good. Maybe because I needed glasses I never took eyesight for granted..
ОтветитьSo how come we humans dont have thermal vision? Would it be possible?
ОтветитьYou guys should change your Channel's name to ridiculously cool 😂
