I think it is truly fascinating to hear Sander's take. Honestly, it was a big deal and I will rewatch this one.

But I need more Phil Simbourg. He is almost the reason I watch BG these days; he's just the best.

Have you noticed how much people talk about the commentators rather than the match? Simbourg is an entertainer, give him the mic.

Sander was drunk and bragged too much. I still like him but I worry about how flush in the face he is as it's a telltale sign of a severe alcoholism. It's dangerous I hope he quits drinking..

BS format, the point of game is to WIN, not to play as computer!!! If you wish to make game "more PRO" DO NOT allow checker movements = play it as chess!!!
Also, now you are open to cheats, as happened in chess & poker, many times.

Guys it is very simple to democratize backgammon for the mass: if have to reduce the price of entering the world of backgammon.
1 - backgammon board (compare to chess say) are very very expensive when you want a bit of quality. I don't know if the galaxy shop pretend to be for the mass but honestly, come on, 850 to 1200 dollar for a board?????
2 - you need serious information for people that want to learn. Course are very very expensive compare to chess and books are still not at a good level to play seriously (still comparing with chess). So give a look to chessable and try to do something similar or better make a partnership with them
3 - you need a free platform to play without the money bullshit so have a look at Lichess and do something similar.

Then you will have something for the mass.
