One issue is that the coruscant guard didn’t “not see duty”
The coruscant guard was beyond just the confines of coruscant, and it’s neighboring systems. Diplomatic escorts guarded many senators traveling across the stars. There were Military police units scattered around the galaxy. Coruscant guard forces played crucial in the battle of coruscant, defending on the ground. Plus, the millions of gangsters, criminals, and outlaws that all were dealt with by the coruscant guard. They kept watch over some of the toughest prisoners, and some of the characters that had plot armor.

Fives actually reached for the weapon and the Courscant Guards are like the police so in a way yes and no. He should have stunned him. Commander Fox was also hated by the one person you don't want to be hated by in the empire, Darth Vader.

99 might have had physical disabilities, but he had the mentality of an ARC Trooper.

Commander thorn is the only exception in my opinion.
He went out like a badass and displayed that despite being trained for law enforcement, he had the perfect experience to fight the droids and even went out with a war cry, his loyalty was truly to the republic, not just the senate.

Fox is just a guard dog, doing every command he is being told by some superior and not listening to others. And for doing this, he got what he deserved - fast, painful, pity death

in my opinon i think the commander fox was a great commander like all the other commanders. even tho he didint see much combat action against the spertist. i respect him and all the other clones and commanders but thats my opinion

It’s not foxes fault he killed fives because fives pointed a blaster at fox and it would take to long for fox to set his blaster to stun so it was a life or death situation

So simply being a guard member and doing your job and following orders gets you hated

That stunt with Vader wasn't even the first dumb thing that Fox had done; remember, it was he who led those false cleaner droids to the right way when they were going the wrong way, allowing them to sabotage the power in courscant
