10/10/20:
This was without a doubt my best outing on CSX in a very long time. Lots of great power mixed with beautiful weather and lots of trains made for an amazing day trackside!
Strating the day, we catch Q621 entering Selkirk Yard with a pretty fresh SD70MACe trailing an AC44CW. He met a 15000 foot long Q003 with another SD70MACe trailing and the Georgia Road sticker unit as DPU!
After these two trains Q205 came west and Q212 came east with a YN2 leader. Then Q626 came east and stopped at Stone Road with two CN leaders, and he met Q157 there! We shot the meet from between the two trains which was super cool! After this meet, Q627 came west with a switcher trailing.
Following Q627 we moved to French's Hollow to catch a few more trains from the bridge. First was Q621 with three CSX units up front including a GP40-2. Then was an awesome K162 with one of only three active flared CSX SD70MACs trailing! Q368 followed him and then Q620 came west with a YN2 leader. Then Q560 came east with the consist of the day, a CSX SD70MACe leading a GEVO, an SD40-2, and a CSX C40-8W, something very rare to see nowadays! After 560 we caught Q567 with a YN2 leader, Q412 and K681 around Selkirk.
Later in the evening we caught two more trains on the River Line, a massive doubled up K021/K161 empty oil with two BNSFs, a CSX SD40-2 up front and a CSX YN2 GE/BNSF GE/CSX YN2 GE mid train. Q439 met him at Newburgh and that was our last train. Overall, it was an amazing day in Upstate New York!
