I miss the old packaging...let's just say it's more classy , I do miss my V6 , probably should get another one.
ОтветитьYou need to go beast mode on the unboxing sometimes. :)
ОтветитьIt's amazing they still are producing the same ones! I wish more products were good enough to stick around for the long haul!
ОтветитьHappy to see them back, such amazing mids on these especially in the vocals.
ОтветитьHow much longer until the xb950bt review?
ОтветитьGreat video as always...I think the MDR-V6 was introduced in 1985. The 7506 was the early 90's. Good to see them back.
ОтветитьHifiguy or someone please answer! I come from sol republic tracks hd and new beats studios after I returned them because they were overpriced for its sound quality. Should i upgrade to the beats solo 2, monster n-pulse, or sms audio on ear ,Sol Republic Master Tracks.?!? Please answer!
ОтветитьConsidering what kind of new junk is sold at this price, these are still a bargain despite the slight price increase.
ОтветитьGreat insight on the new packaging! These are impressive headphones for monitoring and listening to music, originally from 1985. I know the Grado SR225i are a different type of headphones, although I believe they do have some similarities.
ОтветитьAmazon just had them for $49.99 so I bought two!
ОтветитьPrice is up by $15 ($64.99) on Amazon as of December 4th, 2015
Ответитьjust bought some on eBay ... I'm going to definitely compare this to this video :0
ОтветитьAs long as it's not made in China, anywhere should be fine.
ОтветитьNope these have been around since 1985.
Ответитьi got the new and have the old ones still. old model is likely 100 percent same as 7506s, internally. this new sounds unbalanced, overly bassy, has several differences (no microlines on lettering, stamped not offset "made in thailand" lettering, less shiny cable with a very fragile endtip-not going to last, already sound pops at cable motion, stickers on cans are one piece: i figured i got a fake pair, but this was from amazon.. huge disappointment from sonny to me).
Hey, OP, where in NY did you buy the old pair? Thanks.
I still believe these are the best cans money can buy putting all into consideration. Very easy to drive. You don’t need a headphone amp like almost all other good cans especially HI END cans a headphone amp is a MUST!!!!! And what I hear from these “Legendary” cans sounds like B&W speakers from the mid to late 70’s early to mid 80’s. Mostly like: DM-7’s and mid 80’s 801’s. These were made (I think a lot forget this fact) were made by Sony to be a go between the cans and the monitor speakers. The sound quality was patterned after the: B&W DM-7’s/801’s. “STUDIO MONITOR”/“STUDIO MONITOR” headphones. GET IT— -LMFAO. I FRAK’’n love my V-6’s & 7506’s!!!! And I own a lot of different cans and buds etc etc etc. Audio Technica 50’s to boot. Need a bit more balls outta the headphone jack to do them full justice. Love them to boot but they are heavier and not as comphy for my ears. Ok— SONY MDR-V6’s RULE!!!!!!!
ОтветитьEarly 80s dumdum
ОтветитьMine came with a nylon bag, the Sony logo is 3" stamped along the bottom. It's not white either. Is it a fake?
ОтветитьIts diffrent sound from japan and thailand made?
Ответитьsooo.... i just got the v6 for $58 but it was sold by amazon, and does not appear to be sold by another party on amazon. am i safe?
ОтветитьUnfortunately, the Sony MDR-V6 is now officially discontinued in 2020, so don't be surprised that various sellers would ask an astronomical price even for an "open-box" unit beyond 80 US Dollars!!!
ОтветитьAt present, the starting price for Sony MDR-v6 , new, is now $300!!
Fortunately - I purchased 3 of them before they became collectors items, and at MSRP (well below $100.) 2 of the three are even in original packaging.
And, no - they are not for sale.
