If you remove a rock this will disable whole mountain that's what a river does... Rivers dont climb mountains but destroys what it comes on the way.... Human need's to understand...

They are a post deluge society. When the great flood happened, it collected in valleys and didn't drain out for decades. The people that farmed in the valley below, either died, or made homes in the cliff.

For reference, I'm talking about the end of the ice age, when sea levels rose a couple hundred feet. I'm really speaking RIGHT after or "during" you could say.

I'm no geologist, but if you fill up that valley with water, it's miniscis will meet the bottom level of caves....falling off was meaningless to them, they would have fallen into water. It probably stayed that way for 10-50 years.

This also explains it's abandonment, as it got harder and harder to get into your house or village you would eventually move. Not to mention, the population could have begun to boom again.

The cataclysm that caused their way of living was bound to have taken the old, the weak, the infirm. Leaving uneducated, unskilled people behind (for the most part).

The culture survives in their memory, and was continued as best they remember.

If you are reading this, and have more resource than I...check the valley floor with lidar from the air, look for a grid pattern. You may have to satellite spectroscopy.

Your documentary is good. But I felt really bad when the people are demanding for the money, yeah, it is good to show the curiosity about the actual matter for the protection of ancient valuable things, But here its seems like that, their intention is only to get money. On the behalf of those villagers, I want to say sorry.

The very same concept indicated in olden tamil lyrics, people from Lemuria left (submerged Kumari continent) before hit by a huge meteor to the Mustang mud hills, when the whole world covered by water.

It’s not the people of Nepal it’s just sherpas man that’s Sherpa language 🤦🏻‍♂️. Knowing that most people from my generation have forgotten about this is so disappointing. I don’t even know if Wikipedia has information about sherpas and our past and heritage. I feel British but a sense of myself makes me want to just make a stand for this issue.

Soon changes will come

Those caves were probably built my sherpas who are in that area. In Nepal the Indian decedent people who look brown, known as chettry and Bauns. A majority of the people in the country look down on sherpas and use terms such as bhote. Sherpas decent from Tebet and the areas around it. We are also Buddhist and if you go to any Buddhist area in Nepal you will see sherpas and they live near the Himalayas. Most monks are also sherpas and we have our own language which is very similar to Tibetan. The food is also similar so. Sherpas were most likely to have been the ones who built the caves and lived in them aswell. The people there are also sherpas as they are speaking Nepalese in a Sherpa accent.
The government of Nepal profits from sherpas with climbing and mountaineering. The state of the country and the lack of development in those regions of the country.

I don’t see why others the people from the other casts think they are entitled to the money that comes from the Himalayas. They have no right to be proud and say they we are all Nepalese when a our people do something.

As sherpas are Buddhist and are peaceful they haven’t done anything until yet. However times are changing, there are thousands of Sherpas growing up abroad due to the mountaineering success. Most of them are in America. Theres a minority in the United Kingdom, where I grew up. My own family members are in the Nepali government and a my aunt is one of the leading eye doctors in the country.
Slowly but surely sherpas will get the rightful treatment that they deserve.

My people back at home will get the compensation they deserve and the respect they should have had a long time ago.
