This is wild! The kids would have been happy anywhere. He could have easily found an big house to accommodate for less than what he paid. So it was just about the location, was about the kids primarily.

My sister works in tech and owned a 2.4m house in Russian hill. It was a nice place, but it was all of 2 beds, 2 baths and a small garage. Shes since sold it and moved out of SF, but to this day I still can’t wrap my head around how much that little mediocre house was worth.

This must have been filmed before the homeless problem became so bad in San Francisco.

Cow Hollow is an amazing neighborhood- I live on Baker across the street from the Palace of Fine Arts. Great restaurants and shops along Chestnut and Union street too. I find Ghirardelli Square to be very touristy.

I would have also chosen house nr. 3! Soon, his kids will move out and then he will not need a four bedrooms/four bathrooms house. That is why I consider it smart to now buy a house with a nice view and great ammenities, even it is a bit smaller.

I think people missed the twinkle in his eyes when he was in the condo….the kids are not going to be there forever and he’s single. He has access to house keeping, restaurants, ect, ect. Nothing to do but come and go…..he’s rich.
