"The love of field and coppice,
Of green and shaded lanes.
Of ordered woods and gardens.........."
This music brings back very happy memories of an extended trip I took to the UK many years ago. I spent a lot of time in Devon and the Lake District, and this music reminds me of those times. The English country side is truly beautiful, and this music expresses that beauty perfectly.
ОтветитьLove. Lo más bello que he escuchado este último tiempo
ОтветитьYour views are often Derbyshire do you live in the midlands- this particular cycleof images is Tissington? have you ever used images from lovely Ilam in your vedios?
ОтветитьI am utterly charmed by your channel. Thanks so, SO much for doing this. It's beautiful. I love the pictures. Thank you.
ОтветитьThat Tolkien should be a bumper sticker. Thanks again...for the beautiful music and accompanying images.
ОтветитьI have a feeling this is the kind of music that is very satisfying to learn to play well but outside of that context is a bit vanilla.
ОтветитьInspired music complimented by beautiful images making an harmonious whole! I cannot understand the nine people who gave this a 'thumbs down'.
ОтветитьOh! Well done sir! You've treated us all to beautiful music and imagery...….thankyou, thankyou, thankyou!
ОтветитьFinzi or his son grew many variety of apples.
ОтветитьNeeded even more now, to calm our souls! In addition to the fact that I'm currently playing this (the clarinet/piano version) with a young college clarinetist, and the pieces were played in the Third Annual Sidney Forrest Clarinet Competition (named for my father, clarinetist Sidney Forrest.)
Ответитьbeautiful
ОтветитьWell I just visited a church at Ashmansworth and opposite the little church sits a beautiful cottage which has a blue plaque which says Gerald Finzi lived here. I’ve never heard of him but listening to this I’d say the man was a romantic as it’s peaceful and calm and not at all bad.
Ответить.. beautiful..
ОтветитьHis music is one of the few pieces that brings images to my mind’s eye. Such beauty!
And these photographs are exactly what I was seeing when I first heard this music on Classic FM when driving to work
This is bliss, pure bliss! The images are stunning as well.
ОтветитьThank you very much for the Finzi and beautiful accompanying images.
As an Englishman, both resonate for me with a force that is hard to describe. Very bitter-sweet though, l'm afraid. This England, the home of my ancestors, will fade away in a couple of generations...
Thank you for this sensitive video of Finzis' precious music
ОтветитьI absolutely adore Gerald Finzi's music I fell in love with him many years back when I heard the clarinet concerto and then much later his tremendous Eclogue so anything he wrote is so worth anyone's time to listen and enjoy Thankyou so much for posting X
ОтветитьOf all of Finzi's music this seems to me to be the finest piece
ОтветитьDelightful stuff, I’m so happy when my classical station deigns to play it.
ОтветитьFan of Finzi since '80s, along with Parry, German, Quilter, and many more unsung ones. Discovered the Olde Gods (Holst, Vaughn Williams] in my teens in the '60s.
Ответитьso goooooood . thanks for uploading :)
ОтветитьHis exquisite works continue transcending the times .
ОтветитьThat clarinet just breaks your heart...💔
...the rural English countryside, fog and stone and trees so beautifully melancholy like Finzi’s expressive melody.
Thank you so much for giving us all this!
Love the sign, “muddy boots, kids and dogs welcome.” ❤️
Gracias por estos hermosos regalos
ОтветитьNo.4 for Carlos Ruiz Zafon. Rest in peace.
Ответить1- Romnce
2- Carol
3-Forlana
4- Fugetta
I became a devotee of Finzi from a vocalistic point of view when first I heard Intimations Of Immortality, but the orchestral arrangements really got to my soul to such an extent that led me into searching out anything by the man and was blown away. I can add no more to the accolade that has been voice re. Finziism. I hope his music stays around in the councioussphere as long as Beethoven,s. .......Peace!!
ОтветитьI've sung some of Finzi's choral works - this is beautiful.
ОтветитьI come back time and time again to this particular video, the images fit the music perfectly
Ответитьand nothing more beautiful than the English countryside - thank you so much
ОтветитьFabulous!
ОтветитьEnfes
ОтветитьI think you may like Beetham, Cumbria and it's lovely church and pub - quite like St Mary's Tissington
ОтветитьAnt PDC. - I love 💕 listening to Finzi’s 5 bagatelles. All of them on clarinet and beautifully played too.
I’m almost spaced out I’m so relaxed 😎 listening to these 5 lovely pieces of music. I also enjoyed moving along in the English country side with the video . Nowhere better, in my view.
This is the first time I've heard Gerald Finzi's music. A friend shared his information, and I have to say I am moved by the wonderful music
ОтветитьA hill to climb, a path to follow, these are the quiet joys shown here. Silent leaning headstones, pressed by time and winds, stand in testament to lives once led in a world so different to ours. Thanks for sharing these beautiful places with us.
ОтветитьHmm. I love the illustrations by Eric Ravilious, but I think I actually prefer these pictures. There was a lot of sadness in Gerald's life and these photos capture that sense of melancholy, isolation and perhaps emptiness that his music portrays.
ОтветитьMagnifique musique vidéo merci 🌟🎶
ОтветитьHells bells ANT, a pub that welcomes muddy boots, kids and dogs. The Pack Horse sounds brilliant and I wish there were more like it. Love Finzi and the video.
Ответить👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🌹😍
ОтветитьMARAVILLOSO
ОтветитьThe music and the countryside scenes are all so beautiful. Thank you.
ОтветитьQuintessentially English - moves me to tears every time I hear it.
I met George's nephew a couple of months before he died fairly recently.
Once again wonderful likeminded photos and presentation, reminding me vividly of my years in England..
ОтветитьAbsolutely fabulous paintings. Glorious views of the peace and tranquility of the countryside in all its glory. Magical as 'Nature' intended it to be. Many Thanks. And Finzi's theme of Five Bagatelles-op.23 Wonderful!.
ОтветитьTrès belle images de la belle Angleterre et belle musique adaptée a ces paysages bucoliques
ОтветитьGrade 5 music exam 1988 ? I don’t know . I know I got my usual complete fail on scales but passed with merit
