I love that your boy is into this. My 14 year old couldn't care less 😂😔
ОтветитьGreat video as always. Love that your able to spend time with your son
ОтветитьBrick house comics is less a store and more a marathon. Whenever I leave there my hands are cramped and my wallet is empty.
Ответитьyou definitely got a good deal!
ОтветитьTotally awsome Brother. My Parents were born in 1946. Love All Your books. Thanks always for sharring Your passion and adventures. The closest I got to My Dad doing something popculture with Me was Him driving to a record shop and Him waiting in the car while I shopped for vintage vinyl lol😎👍❤️💯
ОтветитьGreat haul
ОтветитьThis is a great video!! My dad was like look at this wrench, study the size. You're like look at this cool Dark Claw book. Good times
ОтветитьYou passed by one of my favourite Daredevil covers -175,.
ОтветитьGreat comic finds. That Darkclaw comic brought back fond memories of when DC/Marvel joined forces temporarily. Another question. Can you draw well enough to do superheroes? If so, would you have liked a job drawing for the Majors? And aside from Nightcrawler, what character would you have liked to draw for. Ok, that’s a few questions lol. Lunchable is a great handle for your boy 😂
ОтветитьGood afternoon Michael
Great show as always. And I have to agree with you on comic pricing, -Guys stop complaining about the price of comics, the seller is doing his best, he has to buy the comic, offer a fair price to the seller, pay all his bills and have a littlle something left for the groceries. Imagine if you had to sell your collection, would you not expect the best possible price ? At the end of the day, it is your wallet that determines the price of comics.
Nuff said
Cheers Al the Goldketfourcolorkidownunda
Really appreciate the effort to reach beyong the "Flipper" scope of books. Maybe I'm just old, but I see so may jerks in the Comic community, that I end up scrolling past most posts. I could just be a "get off my lawn" dude, but I like it when someone just collects something that looks/seems cool.
ОтветитьThanks for sharing.
ОтветитьWhat was cooler. Buying the comic or doing the investigation into what it is. I love both it makes it such a fun experience
Ответить🤘🔥👍Always appreciate your videos Mike ❤ Thanks for sharing, much love from the rainforest in australia 👍
ОтветитьIf you sit tight, I have a feeling Sandmans are going to come way down in price very soon. In fact, I think a lot of Neil Gaiman stuff are going to be blown out at rock-bottom prices. Having said that, "Sandman: Ramadan" is incredible. Too bad.
ОтветитьLove that tales of suspense 😀
Tales to Astonish 😲 and Tales of suspense have always been two Grest titles. That comic shop did look great. Where I live, they would never have that wall of comics like that display. There is one shop here with all the back issues in draws. Not displayed !
You have to ask them if they have certain issues your looking for, you Cannot go back there and look through them. So sad 😞
Loved this video, thanks 😊 for sharing it with all of us.
PS my wife shares my hobby, like your son does, she Loves ❤️ Silver Age ASM, and has a huge collection from the early 60's on up. 😊😊😊 your son is lucky to have you 😊
Wow that's a pretty good price for $100
Ответитьthe neal gaiiman signiture is worth it ,,,,, great find
ОтветитьJames has the sale every 2 weeks, good guy. Nice meeting you at the Enfield show, keep up the great work. GO SPURS GO! ;o)
ОтветитьGreat deal Mike - that Gaimen Auto alone makes it a win win. Sandman series is still one of my favourite reads of all time.
ОтветитьAwesome video. I think regarding some of the comments about prices, you are right on Mike. Folks need to remember, you can always make an offer, especially if you're buying a big book/big haul (or both) and the shop is willing to work with you. I know some have rules against haggling. In that case, you might want take your business elsewhere if you're that hung up on the prices.
Also, New England is a higher cost of living (and generally more highly compensated) area - that can also make regional prices a little different.
I just hit up the collectibles show at the Boxboro Regency this past weekend and managed to get a good chunk of change shaved off of my purchases. You lose nothing by asking!
He is a good guy.. Brick house comes to east of the river con in Enfield Ct.. his table is usually full with customers.. great guy.
ОтветитьAwesome books. Big Sandman fan but feeling very conflicted atm with the allegations coming out surrounding Neil
ОтветитьThat was some amazing pick ups. I think you and your son did great.
ОтветитьWhenever I visit from Georgia I visit that spot..
ОтветитьComics and cards $100.
Spending the day with your son, bonding, hunting for comics, priceless. You are doing it right!
Sandman #50 signed by Gaiman, limited to 5000 with COA and a sketch of Gaiman by P. Craig Russell? I'd pay $100, let alone $50. I've been a Sandman fan since #1, my favourite issues are the ones in which Morpheus interacts with William Shakespeare.
The role of women in the comics industry is huge, and hugely under-appreciated. There were some amazing female writers and artists working in the Golden Age.
Seeing you and your son enjoy hunting together just melts my frozen heart. Thanks for the great content, as always!
ОтветитьFor the books that you picked up, the price is more than reasonable. On top of that, you can't put a price on hunting comics with your son!
ОтветитьI'd be throwing away my Neil Gaiman comics if I were you. Turns out he's a groomer and a predator.
Ответитьhow do you find comic book shows or places that are just purely just comic book meets or these comic book warehouse?, any time I try and search for anything like that all that pops up are comic cons I just want to find places that are just comic books.
ОтветитьGreat to be hunting with your son, prices though are high, even at 50 % off..
ОтветитьGreat video as always, keep up the great work
ОтветитьSuper helpful, totally worth watching
ОтветитьAmazing video!👍👏 I just began my comic book collection and found Toon Haven. They have an incredible range of digital comics for every genre, including the hard to find ones. Lifetime updates too!😁
ОтветитьWow, fantastic video. Thanks a lot!
ОтветитьGreat stuff. Thanks for sharing
ОтветитьCool series! Keep them coming
ОтветитьThat’s fantastic, thanks for sharing
ОтветитьThank you for sharing, keep doing what you do!!!
Ответитьgreat content. ty
ОтветитьThat Hulk #1 (1st Red Hulk) was a $3.99 newsstand edition. I would go back and get it.
ОтветитьPretty bad timing gushing over Gaiman stuff due to the recent accusations against him.
ОтветитьSuper awesome books! I just started going to Brickhouse comics and I love hunting there not knowing what you’ll find in those long boxes. It’s funny you posted this video after I had went last weekend😂. I’ll be posting a video soon about it as well!
ОтветитьGreat pickups Mike. Glad Jack was able to tag along! The perfect outing!
ОтветитьExactly my argument, thank you for saying that so much!!! Gary Bailey God of Thunder and Lightning ⚡
ОтветитьIf memory serves me, and these days it is getting rarer and rarer, but I believe that Louise was one of the premiere illustrators of the Golden Age, She was the first to draw Miss Liberty, One of the artists on Black Cat, did some of the Horror and Sci-fi of the Golden Age, and of course your Classic Comics Aladdin. Gary Bailey God of Thunder and Lightning ⚡⚡
