First guest, Bennett swings and misses, Arlene strikes out, Tony whiffs, but Dorothy gets on base, no runs scored.
ОтветитьDanny Kay was multi talented. But his biggest accomplishment in life was the Charity. Which I'm sure saved alot of lives. God Bless him.
ОтветитьSuch a brave young service member. It's Nov. 2022. I wonder what he is doing today?
ОтветитьI once knew someone who lived in LA and she told me despite his onscreen charm and likability, Danny Kaye was a real prick. Not nice at all to ordinary people like clerks and waitresses.
ОтветитьMy mother was older when she had me so I grew up with the American Movie Classics practically on all the time. Thank goodness because, otherwise, I would never have been introduced to such magic on the screen. Danny Kaye is still, by far, my favorite. He could sing, he could dance, he was hilarious and also quite sincere and touching. No one can do all those things as well as he could.
ОтветитьThat was a very handsome sailor
ОтветитьI prefer the game played straightforward and honest.
ОтветитьQuite unusual for an entertainer of Danny Kaye's stature to have made it to 1960 without ever having appeared on a live TV broadcast.
ОтветитьAlways adore Danny Kaye. But is it me or was he related with Tom Hiddleston? giggles
ОтветитьKaye Sophisticated?! Sticking his tongue out?! Thought he was very silly. He gave a very creepy performance on 'The Cosby Show' with that other creep.
ОтветитьI'm dreaming of a White Christmas, with Danny Kaye and Rosemary Clooney.
ОтветитьThis world could use a lot more people like Danny Kaye.
ОтветитьThis show really had a diverse cultural
ОтветитьI think Danny Kaye is the funniest mystery guest they ever had! He was hilarious here
ОтветитьDorothy Killgalen
ОтветитьDanny Kaye wasn't liked by people he worked with.
Entertainment Weekly DECEMBER 16, 1994
"Harvey Korman, who was a cast member of Kaye’s variety show told me the nightmare of working with Kaye. Whenever Korman scored a big laugh during the dress rehearsals, Kaye ensured that he stepped on Korman’s lines during the taped performance.
Korman told me how Kaye cut down Madeline Kahn’s role on Broadway with him in Richard Rodgers’ Two by Two when she outshone Kaye.
Bob Easton, who also was a regular on the variety series called Kaye a monster. He said he was cold, aloof, vindictive and an egomaniac.
I heard similar stories from Rosemary Clooney, producer Bob Finkel, comedy writers Hal Kanter and Rocky Kalish, television director Norman Abbott and others. The horror stories were always the same."
Well if Danny Kaye was a Member of The K OF C, Then Means he was Catholic.
ОтветитьHe was my favorite as a kid, my utmost favorite
ОтветитьThe day before I was born! Although I was born in New Zealand so may already just about be born in our time!
ОтветитьSuch a handsome sailor!
ОтветитьSo sad what happened to Dorothy. It was a crime really.
ОтветитьI had a crush on Danny Kaye when I was younger...lol.. Made me laugh at his work .. Talented guy... He is missed here...❤🐻
ОтветитьI remember when he was the delightful dentist on the Bill Cosby show
ОтветитьDanny Kaye was wonderful in every sense of the word. Such a great entertainer. Oh I miss shows like this! So happy I found this channel!!!
ОтветитьI generally prefer shows with a lot of action in them, but there are exceptions to that, including What's My Line. When I was little my mother used to watch TV while doing the chores. This was one of her shows. Thanks to the internet I can watch them all again.
ОтветитьDanny Kaye on another episode gave the very best performance by a panelist in the history of WML with his "impersonation" of John Daly. Priceless!
ОтветитьI loved this show when I was a young girl. Now when I watch it I can only think of a tragic and mysterious death of Dorothy Kilgallen. Seeing her is just haunting.
ОтветитьArlene being so cool yet again...wearing a diamond pin on her left shoulder strap. See at minute 12.
ОтветитьI love how the men stood up when the woman came by!
ОтветитьAbsolutely loved Danny Kaye! He's absolutely wonderful!!! Hilarious man, and so good looking!
ОтветитьDanny was my favorite when a child. The vessel with the pestle is the brew that is true. Or am I backwards?😅
ОтветитьI wish would take the interest to try performing as Danny Kaye It would be sheer delight to see someone able and willing to learn his work as well you can see no movies have been about him reason no talent like him or even close or try to 😢He Was Extremely well versed much more than anyone realizes!
ОтветитьI hope this Navy guy is still around to survive that job his family must have always worried about him If he been my son I would have a lot!
ОтветитьI remember your record Danny and you in small town of Astoria,Oregon 1965
ОтветитьDanny Kaye, one of the finest people of all time and I love his personality and his work. Thank you Danny, I hope that you're still making people laugh somewhere. RIP
ОтветитьI grew up watching this program.
ОтветитьDanny Kaye totally changed my life as a child! I loved him so much!!!
ОтветитьApropos Mr. Rice.
You don't need a parachute to jump out of a plane.
But you DO need it to do it twice....
That was the day I was born. 😂
ОтветитьPROFESSIONAL BOWLER
TESTS PARACHUTES
Danny kaye is hot
ОтветитьGlad I had a chance to meet Danny Kaye in 1965. Such a great talented man. 😃😍🤩❣❤💘💘
ОтветитьA professional bowler was salaried and considered a service? What? No way they were going to get that.
ОтветитьDorothy was an extremely bright person.
ОтветитьMarc Sinclair was Dorothy's personal hair dresser. He took pride in ensuring that she always looked her best.
ОтветитьDanny Kaye actually became a knight in 1983 when the queen of Denmark honored him with a knighthood.
ОтветитьTony Randall's laugh, is hilarious! Puts me in mind of his character Felix Unger on the odd couple. When Felix is clearing his nostrils with that annoying sound! Even Danny Kaye seemed to crack up laughing at his laugh!
ОтветитьHe was 'knighted" as a UNICEF ambassador & brought joy to many children & adults, being multi-talented and gifted in the entertainment industry. Every Christmas I relive & enjoy watching him starring alongside Bing Crosby in White Christmas. Such a pleasure & a treat!!
