I love this song and the performance. But what less than ten years did to him is still so shocking. He was the epitome of cool (looking) in the Comeback Special. But watching it now, it was stuffed with cornball stuff. And in a short time he's wearing these clown suits and barely able to move. But damn, he could always sing gospel. It made him happiest and always brought out his best. Sensational.

Not sure if this was in Rapid City or Sioux Falls, if it was in Sioux Falls I was about half way down the right side floor bleachers four rows up and I was 14 years old! My mom said she’d spend her last dime so her four children could see the greatest performer ever to grace a stage! No one has ever had the stage presence Elvis had. The world is full of ifs but sometime in 1975/6 someone needed to kidnap him and take him to a secluded unknown island where he could have gotten heathy and continued blessing us with his incredible magnificent talent!

He had such a strong spiritual foundation that when he sang hyms he had such beautiful range.
I know you could hear him all the way to heaven. He was phenomenal! He was versatile anything he sang was genuine, straight from the heart,! 🌹 ❤️

Great as always....putting his fans before his health ☹ btw he was hardly fricking barriatric..he'd need a hoist to get onstage!! Yes he's put on some ballast but as a naturally slender/athletic body shape ANY weight gain shows more than those with a more weighty frame...a stone or 3 can easily blend in hardly noticed! Poor Elvis was ill and unfortunately put what weight he did gain around his middle and face...to say he wore heavy girdles etc is ridiculous...you'd see it - his jumpsuits were thin, u can see there's no way a bulky girdle is hiding!
Looks great still, despite his obvious sufferings ❣RIP Elvis....u certainly climbed more than a mountain 🙏🕯🤟🏼
