Impressive, but what's the story of U-17? I show a DIFFERENT U-17 having been scuttled at the end of WWII. So THIS is NOT THAT. So where did this sub come from? Is this a LATER U-17 after the 1955 reestablishment of the Kriegsmarine? Where has it been stored since then? Is it operable?, or just scrap metal?

I am surprised that the trailer unloaded was being maneuvered with all the wheels 'down'. Only loaded wheels can grip the ground and steer. The trailer was 4 axle modules so if the inner pair of axles on each module had been lifted it would have been easier to maneuver At least to the point of being under the load.

That sub is in pretty good shape on the hull I doubt it was in the water all the whole or was in dry dock to get cleaned up .👍👍
