Saguto Bro! I just had a crisp round this past weekend at the Tradition Club and was looking around for you to say hello. That course reminded us a lot of True Blue in its design and I read that Ron Garl built it in between Strantz completing TB after he did Caledonia. Anyway it's the first time we played it and we loved it. You've got a great spot down there ;)
ОтветитьSaguto's the best...simplicity, logic and humor. I laugh as much as I learn (oh btw, I DO have my own personal mime. No one can see her, but she's always there👩🏻🎨)
ОтветитьGreat video Tom! How about an updated video on hitting power fades now that that the maintenance shed is not at the end of the range.
ОтветитьYou can get even more distance by learning to transfer weight properly from the back leg to the front leg and pushing down into that front leg and sending the energy out and through the ball. And the hands going higher than you think on the back swing. If you look at the longest drivers they have one thing in common and that’s they’re hands being really high and away from the ball as much as possible
ОтветитьTop man.
ОтветитьIs the weight still forward on set up?
ОтветитьAnother lesson about hitting KFC shots, keep them coming Tom
ОтветитьExcellent. One great drill would be to not turn the lights on when you go to the bathroom during the night🙂
ОтветитьWait. Hitting the center of the face is good? 😂
ОтветитьI would love to get better at golf without practice. Seriously.
ОтветитьAccording to Bryson D you should first pull the club handle down to your right pocket and then pivot your body and turn…and he is a long drive champion…no ? What do you think ?
ОтветитьNice move coach. That mime is a winner. Be good-Russ
ОтветитьMy Golfing buddy went off to become a mime, I never heard from him again!
ОтветитьHave been implementing the Saguto swing and absolutely flushing my irons. Shots taking off like rockets. Hope this video helps get the same result with the driver.
ОтветитьI did enjoy the mime gags
ОтветитьNo lie, and with indoor video. Took me from last in the group to 90 percent longest driver.
Truth.
Somebody's been playing too much Mimecraft.
ОтветитьAnother good video. This channel keeps delivering. Quick questions. With driver does it require less shoulder tilt compared to irons? If it does how much less shoulder tilt when we start the backswing? Thanks in advance.
ОтветитьLooks like I got to be a mime tomorrow at the range. Back in Indiana till mid Nov, glad to have my clubs with me.
ОтветитьWhere do you give lessons in Florida?
Ответить90168 Kunze Plain
ОтветитьI went to the driving range yesterday. All my clubs were hitting almost to the maximum. 5i used to go barely 140 yards. Yesterday I was hitting consistently 170 carry. Based on that swing mechanic.
As a thanks for this advice, I'll give you one my own. Get a deadcat wind screen for your microphone. They're like 2 bucks, fits over your lapel and cuts the wind and anything else preventing that voice from coming through.
Super lesson and your striking was impressive! As one who struggled with controlling the dreaded push fade, following you has largely eradicated it and now for some extra oomph.
ОтветитьI use to be better when I watched your videos, after my lessons I cannot hit as good. What you preach is good.
ОтветитьI’ve been playing for one year this last September. I’ve used so many of your videos and it’s made the learning curve less steep. I am shooting consistently in the 90’s and came very close to breaking 90 just last week! Thank you so much for your content!
ОтветитьThe Best Jerry, The Best!!! I don't Mime at all how good that was!!!
ОтветитьAlways xxX-Krispy sir. Again reading my mind. Before this video, I WAS the arms guys.
ОтветитьWhat’s the point of teaching the same stuff over and over again? You have hundreds of videos on the following fundamentals that you teach: don’t lift arms, connect arms to chest, keep weight forward, lead shoulder down.
I don’t understand the purpose of repetition to keep your channel running. Try doing some course vlogs etc. to keep your content fresh.
Every time you upload a video, we know exactly what you’re going to talk about.
I am going to join your online school soon just to see if you offer anything different there. Perhaps it will be more focused on the short game, let’s see.
+3 on the front, +4 on the back. THANK YOU TOM SAGUTO!!
Ответить"That'll mime". Lol! Good tips, good analogy and funny phrases to boot. Good video and lesson!
ОтветитьYou are awesome
Your videos have helped me considerably. I would love to come and get a one on one lesson from you
Hey Tom, thanks! Due to you I've come up with this acronym that can be used as your main swing thought. You can actually walk your way through the swing by making sure your Weight is forward, you start the swing by Tilting your lead shoulder down and at the ball, and then while you're doing this, especially at the top of the swing, your Bicep is attached to your chest. Then the downswing is you simply trying to turn your shoulders and Sweep the ground with the palm of your hand, which means you're keeping it in an extended position. It works great.
W.T.B.S. – "Weight, Tilt, Bicep, Sweep"
Or, Wonderific Tom's Bodacious Swing!
Weight on the front at setup
Tilt your left shoulder down and point it at the ball
Bicep stays attached with palm pointing back
Sweep the ground with the palm of your trail hand through impact
thanks Tom ! seems to me you can use this same swing with your mime irons ?
ОтветитьUsing these tips on the course today and I hit a couple bombs that rolled out pat 300 💪 Tom is the 🐐
ОтветитьDude...get a mic wind muff
ОтветитьMeme, myself, and mime…
Another great topic and explanation! Now I get it. I was trying to keep the elbow attached on the backswing. The bicep makes so much more sense.
Thank you Tom!
ps people probably get tired of saying nice shot, but I never get tired of hearing it. Stack and Tilt is definitely the swing! And by none other, Tom Saguto. Keep it going Tom!
Tom are all the fundamental of stack and tilt used such as left side tilt
ОтветитьKeep practicing Tom and you’ll have a swing as good as mime someday ⛳️💥⛳️
ОтветитьWatched this video the day it came out knowing it would solve my problem as well. Practiced on the range the same day and it worked. Even though I'm still a beginner I did a nice round getting 20 stableford points on 9 holes. Yesterday I tried again and it clicked again. Getting close to the 200m shots on the range and did a 181m one on the course. Thanks! This one helped so much! (playing 40 ish handicap to 32 in a few days)
ОтветитьGorilla glue and mimes, I’ll do it .. if I can drive it better 😂
Ответитьyes incorporated driver swing tips with wt. set forward and arms and shoulders connected through rotation. ball teed up 1/2 inch higher than driver crown . was all great? no ball launching straight but popping up. so either coming in too steep or ball teed too high. did not try right shoulder ( trail) tilted lower at set up . thoughts?
ОтветитьI didn't "mime" hitting my driver 10 yards farther at all with this tip.
ОтветитьIs 150 ball speed attainable with this drill, great video by the way.
ОтветитьJust came across your site and seeing technique! i’m just now getting back into extended absence from golf of probably 15 or more years. I’m now 79 years old and I’ve been struggling to get my game back in shape. Imagine my surprise as I came across your modified backswing technique, using your upper body shoulders and hips, as opposed to the traditional heavy extended back swing. Turns out this is exactly what I’ve been doing, and this is just helped to refine my technique with some of your advice and council. Interestingly, enough, the sweeping of the hand concept that you’ve put forth, reminds me an awful lot of what I recently uncovered from the golfer back in the 50s Ernest Jones, who was a one legged golfer after being injured in World War II. He is known for what he referred to as the pendulum swing, which is using that one hand to mimic the pendulum of a clock, for example, and low, and behold, that turns out to be almost identical to what you’re talking about with the sweeping of your hand and moving the head in the natural arc. at this point on a Saturday morning, I have to tell you I can’t wait to get out to the range and hit another bucket of balls and begin to try to refine myself around what I was already doing using your suggestions. Thanks very much and I’m really grateful to have found your site
ОтветитьThat’s great but I still not sure how to avoid hooking it …..or going under it
ОтветитьYou're easy to understand videos have helped to my game immensely, I hit longer straighter drives, and have dropped 20 strokes, TY TY TY !!
ОтветитьTom. you are hilarious AND super effective in explaining the most important moves of the golf swing in a truly unique, memorable and actionable way. Learning is so much easier and fun with your one of a kind examples and videos, the mime action is brilliant! The fundamentals from your golf school have given me a much needed foundation and confidence in my swing so I can take full advantage of videos like this one, I can't believe how much farther and consistently I am hitting my driver (and all clubs for that matter)!
ОтветитьTom : you have talent to teach . That is not for everyone . Do you do any workshops in Vegas ? Do you offer 1 on 1 and is this in Myrtle beach ?
ОтветитьGreat video.
What do you feel about going to gym and doing golf strength specific excercises to hit ball further? Would it make much of a difference or is it just more in your swing technique?
