Yea I do this actually. Find something nice and separate the sample's bass and other elements with a low and high pass filter then alternate to make a nice little sequence

between Marlow's videos and Patreon sample packs, you need no other resource for MPC knowledge and sampling. Thanks a lot man

Am I missing a step? My vinyl plays regular no matter what effect I plugin to my mpcx.

My inputs set to 3,4 with the vinyl player. In sampler I load up effect. It still plays normal. Anyone know why?

I been tryna figure this out for a minute. 😭

I just had a digital album release. HACKING INTO HOLLYWOOD
In the vein of Vangelis Danny Elfman Hans Zimmer. I play every single note no samples no copy and paste. If you can use any part go ahead just give me a small Credit in the file.

Album : Hacking into Hollywood
Artist. : Energetic Fist

I do layer my samples but usually all from the same track theres times i do snatch stuff from different tracks but i usually build my beat and lay down a foundation with the samples then Add stuff in from the keyboard like bassline strings ect works pretty well but always good to learn new techniques

One should be able to hear what you need to do the sample…. I still sample through my old mixer from the 1990s , if I’m using my old Ensoniq EPS… I still have to put the vinyl on 45 rpm at 13khz 😅 ….convenience of emulation of an era through a plugins is okay… but you might as well commit to your sound and do the work…gr8 cultural documents Marlow , appreciate you , salute🔈🔉🔊🙌🏾

Is there a transpose button he's pressing? How does he match key? Is he just listening by ear or does his machine have an auto transpose feature?

Man, I love this. I’m just learning how to sample at 40 and this simple tip got me from struggling with crate digging to hearing stuff all over the place that is now usable! I’d always get scared of jazz like Miles Davis and Herbie Hancock because of the complexity of the music, but this gave me a new lease on them!

My dude got that SunRa record. I got a decent collection of SunRa. PEACE my man, dope video. Just watching this for the 1st time and I got to say, I LOVE sampling with the mids and highs boosted and I usually kill the LOW end so I can use my own bass wit the crispy mid-high filtered sample. It's how I sampled for years when I was rocking my SP12 years back. Somehow the limitations of the older machines produce the most flavor when used right. Keep on, I love your videos.
