Matt, I am so sorry to hear about your currently incurable disease and I do understand the need to pursue your passion while you still can.

I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma about three years ago and am also pursuing my aviation passion while I'm able. Unfortunately chronic lower back pain and fatigue prevent me from walking more than about 15 meters before sitting down, and standing still in one spot is intolerable. My vision is deteriorating. So....I fly in my mind, vicariously enjoying the things I could once do.

You have an admirably positive attitude which I hope will inspire others to make the best of their remaining years because life as we know it is a transient experience anyway, even under the best of circumstances. Thank you again. Wright Flyer, USAF (1968-1972).
