Thank you for the steps of cleaning a pool. I do my pool all year, but this year it may be longer to open it as Winter is still upon us in the midwest. Last year I resurfaced the pool myself because all the companies were booked. It was a lot of work but the outcome was even better. I am looking forward to learning the steps to test the pool water. I like to skim all the easy loose stuff of the water first. Then use a red tile brush with tile soap to knock off the stuff sticking to the tiles. I was curious why you dont use one?

We have an older model vaccine like that for a big pool and it is one of the worst vaccume heads I have used

I notice you don't use the steering knuckle for the Riptide. Any reason why?

The initial chlorine level was zero. You shocked with liquid chlorine but that won’t last 7 days in Florida sun even with sufficient stabilizer. Did you really forget to add chlorine tablets to that floater or did you just forget to include that step in the video ?!?

You can see in the video, as he is vacuuming this brand new pool with a riptide, the water is getting murky. That is because there is dust in this pool that the riptide, regardless of the finess of the bag, will not get, especially algae. When you are first starting a pool service, unless there is a bunch of debri on the bottom, use a suction vacuum. If you vacuum the pool like this first, provided there is good suction, you won't have to brush as hard, if at all, some suction vacuums come with bristles on the bottom that help.

Wouldn't brushing the walls make the debris settle on the bottom of the pool? Doesn't it make sense to vaccum after brushing the debris off the walls?

Your a good pool cleaner. Problem I am having in Sarasota is they expect people to do 100 pools in a forty hour work week for dish washer wages and then when the inevitable splash and dashes occur and customers are pissed off they complain about how they cant find good people, they are all lazy and dont want to work.
