If you start with APS-C try to buy lenses that are full frame, saves having to upgrade the whole system if you want to go full frame.... Believe me, after 6 months of wheeling and dealing I wish I'd done this myself!

I really enjoyed your video, and I’m happy to have finally found some great content to help me grow my photography.
I’ve been working as a professional photographer since I graduated two years ago, and I’m COMPLETELY FROZEN by the idea of taking the next step. I specialize in travel photography, working with both digital and film, I like to develop myself and I write too. I even do videos and drone.
I have a nice website that I’m finally happy with, and there’s more than enough content on it. But when it comes to bridging 'now' to 'my first clients,' I have no clue how to get there. I’ve listed a bunch of potential clients and magazines I’d like to work with, but I fear imposter syndrome a lot. I often compare myself to photographers I wish I could be, and I always feel like I’m not ready.

What should I do? Why do I feel so stuck when I feel like I have everything set for success?
I wonder if anyone else has this issue too.

Regarding social media presence, what would you advise in the following situation: I’m about to launch my business in product photography but I already have an account focusing on rather interior, lifestyle photography than product shots… would you recommend to create a separate one for the latter -and starting from zero🤯 ? -which I find quite a hassle 😢 Or, could it possibly work as well if I incorporate my product shots onto the existing account..? I’m curious about your thoughts

No ads talk, no course promotion, just straight to the point. In the real you have to be more salemen in these days, than photographer. I am on my track for 10 years, and main part is still about communication, and chasing the new jobs :)

Thank you so much!!! I have been doing portraits and events for free. Everyone has told me to start charging but I am too nervous. Trying to branch out for more options so i can make money doing other things so i can build up better.

I think it is important to note that outreach does not always result in immediate responses. Often, someone needing photos will remember you contacted them weeks ago, and then respond.

Depending on what field it is, you should absolutely get an official business license and everything applicable to that. If you're doing maternity photos or senior pictures you're probably fine but for some things it is not smart to not have a business and insurance.

I’m a professional guitar player and it’s funny how much photography is the same as far as business goes. I always wanted to get into photography and have been trying to practice taking good photos with my iPhone lol…got some great ones , but just got a Canon Rebel T7 as an entry to photography.
