Canadian Word Origins: Keener

Canada has many unique words to describe things, such as two-four, double-double, chesterfield and poutine. I am exploring where those words come from.

Describing someone who is eager, or a brown-noser, in the classroom, the origin of the word is pretty mysterious. There are several theories, but none are for sure the origin.
