I wanna start off by saying you're mixing continuities which is completely disingenuous for your premise. 616 Thor has never lost to Magneto and essentially depowers Mags force field in ever fight they've had. I also gotta stop you at blocking telepathic attacks from the PF. That was Jean (who isn't at all comparable to the PF itself and is not even the best host for it) We know the only two mutants that have shown feats vs the PF in a telepathic fight were Apocalypse and Professor X. Battling it out on multiple planes of existence higher dimensionally, telepathically. Magneto is consistently Planetary. He didn't say he's drawing in power equal to being hit by a star. Iron man had essentially shut down his ability to draw from the earths magnetic field. Magneto takes this low difficultly though

I think most people don't realize how strong Magneto is or what being an Omega level mutant means, mostly because the cartoons and movies never got to adapt his absolute peak moments. Magneto has pretty much control over one of the four fundamental forces of nature.

Naturally, comics power scaling can be very, very wonky, but since we're talking comics to comics, Magneto got this. My man Static wouldn't go down easy, but that's just a difference in magnitude here.

Honestly, it's a rapier, vs a fantasy war hammer... They ain't the same. Storm, who I'd compare to a great sword, has problems with Magneto. Static just ain't got the juice yet to play with these dudes .. Yet...being the operative word

The thing is, Virgil has the potential to be on Magneto’s level… eventually. Magneto has pointed out to Electro, a character who solely uses electricity, that he had the potential to be as strong as him if he only worked for it. Vergil is at least on par with what Electro is packing as a teenager, if not stronger, so he likely has that same amount of potential. However, the issue is “eventually”. He’s got a log way to go to get there and even when he does, he still hasn’t fought as long or as hard as Magneto and still loses. Maybe Erik will be dead by then and then he can actually secure the win.

I don't understand how Magneto could ever be caught off guard.

In order to grab the iron in your blood, he needs to have control over magnetism on the electron scale, and the precision and control to manipulate it all perfectly.

You can't do that unless you can sense it via feeling the magnetism.
And since he can apparently feel the magnetism of a star and grab it, he essentially must have omniscience.

Or at least the capability of detecting everything everywhere, with it being more a matter of his focus on any individual things.
Still I don't see how anyone can be within a city block of him without him knowing.

Even the intelligence argument is moot. Magneto mastered anicent lost atlantean technology, built robot clones of himself, created a city-state on an astroid, and mastered technology from 1000 years in the future to build the successor to the previous space base

First of all, his name is just Static not Static Shock.

The difference here, is static is always that strong. Magneto rarely performs like he does in those extreme situations. Hes lost to people muuuch weaker than static

I'll be honest here. A lot of what was shown here that Magneto can do. Static Shock can do too. Know the thing about blood? Electro magnetism can magnetize anything, he could easily allow for walls and doors to pull the iron straight from someone's blood in the same manner because he is a genius, he can calculate the adjustments needed for that.

He can also do something Magneto can't,which is to shut down someone's brain by cutting of all of the electrical signals in a person's body. He's already did something far more impressive, this would've been incredibly easy for him to do. He could even do the reverse and fey someone's neurons by intensifying those signals beyond what skin effect can protect people against. You'd see people catching fire all of a sudden.

This one is a hard one. Everything Static can do Eric can do. Both highly intelligent. It will ha e to at some point come down to experience or straight up hands. Both have those too but i might give the hands to static just a little bit. Lol

THANK YOU! Static is one my absolute favorite DC characters but Magneto is just an absolute MONSTER. A god amongst gods. It’s takes insane amounts of power or plot armor to beat him

Yeah, in my mind this really comes down to the scale of what they’ve accomplished, and Magneto can handle magnetic forces all across the solar system, static has destroyed a city block, he can handle like a county or a state-sized area, continent sized if we’re being nice.

Yeah I want to say Static so bad but Magneto has more experience in life, war & using his powers so he wins solely based off that. However I would like to see old man Static like 40-60 years Magneto 40-60 years old. Should be great.

I think static can move his consciousness into electricity making theoretically indestructible. Static Got this 1 too.

I like how instead of downplaying Static Shock, you prove you know how powerful he is so when you say he loses, he loses.

I love static and I'll be the first one to hype him up. But Magfuckineto is just built different. This man is already omega class mutant and then through sheer force of will, dunks on anything stronger

So i think it's really odd everyone brings up all of magneto's greatest feats but are ignoring static's most powerful feat to date. In the Nikolas Draper run of batman beyond Terry runs into an adult Virgil. Terry is being overwhelmed by powerful mechs and nearly done for. In that moment static simply snaps his fingers and they no longer exist. Showing that he can control electrons. With this ability there is no fight whatso ever.

Good points for both of them. I think young Static would definitely struggle with Magneto. I feel that older Static could hold his own and maybe even surpass Magneto.

Magneto got that dog in him. Even if they were evenly matched, static is not vicious enough to win the fight

Question now how does one cancel out Magneto's power or short circuit it he has to mentally trigger his ability so how fast is static shock a guy is only good as their creative us of powers and how quick they think

Static would supercharge Magneto, he would be taken out by Magnus before he knows whats happening.
