Just to remind people florida had 13 feet of storm surge during Helene up in the Big Bend area near Perry Florida. That was pretty disastrous to those beach communities. And community just inland.

Actually the forecast on Hurricane Milton panned out better than what they thought it was it was supposed to go up turn east and weaken. It did exactly that it just weakened more than what they were expecting it to weaken. But remember you can never exactly predict intensity.

Shelter for the crews to help with electrical outages etc. I’m in Tampa. We went for a day and a half without electric. It came back on this morning at 6am. Air conditioning! We went 7 days after Irma. We people take electric for granted! Still not cable or net. Trees down & flooding everywhere. Sheds hanging on electrical wires. It was scary beautiful.

He organized and staged power linemen and emergency services before the hurricane hit. The military was here with tarps, water and mre's. The Cajun navy is here serving hot meals too.
