And the way CU completely torched Nebraska secondary has nothing to do with their QB. They have a very weak secondary and when they go 4WR or 5 WR spread , and spread that Nebraska weak secondary with no DBs, it's an easy win . The CU defense will show up. But Nebraska will not win in a shootout with Shedeur and the best WR core in football.

They played UTEP, ffs. That was barely a step above a State Championship High School program. Today they play CU, and it's not a given that they'll win. CU has only played NDSU. Sure, NDSU is a MUCH better team than UTEP, but they're still not a good measuring stick. CU is a half great team and a half garbage team, so if the Huskers don't blow them out, then they'll probably be very average this year.

That second half said a lot about where we're currently at. We have a lot of work to do we should have scored another 28 points that second half but clearly need a little bit more discipline but I actually have hope in getting the work done this year versus last year where it was just turnover nation. QB position makes a huge difference in how we are looking this year. Not sure we're going to get eight wins but I'm more confident in the possibility than I was during preseason. Second half needs a lot of attention and how we're going to play four quarters.

Nebraska is NOT back. This new team will win more than three games, but it's not even close to the teams of the past. QB is good, running backs are midgets and the defense is decent. Been a Husker fan for 40 years. This team has a LONG way to go. But like the rest of Husker Nation, I won't give up hope.

Diehard Nebraska season ticket holder here. I was there in the glory days and still there today. This team is looking good, but the jury is still out for me because we still have a lot of football left and have had my heartbroken time and time again. So we will see as the season progresses.
