Are you sure your diodes are the correct way around? , according to circuit diagrams online the diodes are opposite what you have.

you used 15kv Diodes but 20kv Capacitors. Is that right?

It's a Cockcroft-Walton multiplier, but I thought those require AC input, not DC from a battery, unless the lighter converts DC to AC.

hey Jay. I can not find these diodes ANYWHERE on the market for a decent cheap price. even for a high price. The link you put in the desc doesnt work anymore. This is such a great project. I could not tell inbbthe build where the ground lead you talked about was built in though. Where should that be? I finally built one of these. Using 12 20kV capacitors and diodes. My power source is one of those mini 20kV transformers and boy oh boy does this thing put on one hell of a show. I will most likely build a fusor around it.
