the song is considerably easier if you capo the 4th fret and play the D and G chords as power chords, easier for me at least

Keith was a great guitarist and a couple more worth mentioning are John McKay from the Banshees who was an early player in this style and of course Roland Howard from the Birthday Party just listen to Release the Bats incendiary!!
