Thanks for making this, i miss Scarborough already, left Canada almost 6years ago!
ОтветитьThis is my go to recipe. Just pan fried chicken without the sauce, already so good. Must try recipe!
ОтветитьHi Vijaya, I can’t find Chinese cooking wine. Can I substitute this with something else?
ОтветитьI want to try this
ОтветитьSame recipe can be used to make chilli potato, chilli Gobi (cauliflower),Chilli Panner etc...
ОтветитьThis recipe works with the air fryer too!
ОтветитьCan’t wait to try this one!!
ОтветитьCan't wait to try this. Is there any substitute for the Chinese cooking wine?
ОтветитьLol "Frederick's eat your heart out" that's a pretty bold statement but I think your recipe qualifies. Looks delicious!
ОтветитьHey I'm so confused. Can I add an egg into the pre mix? And is it corn flour or corn starch? Want to make this for Xmas but not sure x
ОтветитьWhere is the actual recipe with quantities?
ОтветитьCooking style of chilli chiken really easy , simple and tasty. Thank you very much for sharing the recipe.
Ответитьyeah ehh!!
ОтветитьWe got fredricks on Dundas in Mississauga. Same owner from Scarborough.
Sizzling plate with chilli chicken, chicken corn soup, shrimp fried rice. SIMPLE BUT SO GOOD
Show the fried rice too
ОтветитьI ate at Federick’s a handful of times traveling to Canada to meet my (now former) Indian family in-laws and I became obsessed.
So stoked to try this recipe!!!!
Why do you think ur white? Calm down lady
ОтветитьI was looking for dry version of this, thank you
ОтветитьGreat video! And Thank you! Now…Okay props to the Fredricks’ fans out there. But if we are talking Chilli Chicken in Scarborough, sorry, the crown belongs to Lin Garden Restaurant at Shepard Ave & Pharmacy 👌
Ответитьif I leave the chilis whole would it be less spicy?
ОтветитьAmazing 👌.. can u plz make more of restaurants type Hakka Chinese dishes . Thx
ОтветитьWhen growing up in Mumbai, I used to eat occasionally at a place called Federick in Byculla. When I later moved to Canada, one fine day while driving around Scarborough, I noticed a restaurant on Ellesmere called Federick. What intrigued me was the fact that the name was spelled the same way as the restaurant in Mumbai (Federick not Frederick). So I decided to try it. I told the waiter about the restaurant in Mumbai with the same name and spelling. To my surprise, he said it was a branch of that same restaurant. WOW! Have since enjoyed many a chilli chicken there whenever we visit Toronto. Thanks for the recipe. Turned out really tasty (I used 3 times the amount of Thai chillies lol).
ОтветитьHi great recipe
What about ginger chicken and Manchurian chicken fried rice!
Love your work
It’s funny cuz it wasn’t long ago when I last went to Fredrick’s and I’m seeing this
ОтветитьHow many people would your chili chicken feed ? Thank you so much for your fantastic recipes
Ответитьim from toronto i know the restaurant lol nice
ОтветитьSaved my life
ОтветитьDang, you make me hungry!! Your recipes look so freaking good!
ОтветитьI made it! Yes it was super great and 5 impartial foodies agreed! I toned the spice down a little and used serano peppers and cooked it with two green Thai peppers but whole and not cut up. I also added a teaspoon of sambal into the chicken Marinade. It was very high caliber. Don't know if it could get any better.
ОтветитьThis chicken is off the hook, girl! My go to now👍
Ответитьwow girl this is the best
ОтветитьIs there another way I can cook the chicken without deep frying it
Ответитьonly thing i like a little sesamee oil
ОтветитьCan i get a list of ingreidents?
ОтветитьScarborough stand up!
ОтветитьI loved it! The only tip I would give is to not use dark soy sauce (I used Pearl River Bridge) as it turns everything SUPER dark and salty. Regular soy sauce (Silver Swan for instance) gives you the result in the video. Anyway, I was so nostalgic for this dish from my time in Canada :)
ОтветитьAte Federick’s ALL the time when I worked in Scarborough. Now I live in Oshawa, and would love to replicate the chili chicken recipe. I enjoyed your video, and will be following your instructions. Their pakora was so good too. Wish me luck, and thank you for the instructions.
❤😊
Amazing recipe, thank you! Very similar to Frederick's. For those who don't have access to rice wine, I substituted with white vinegar and it turned out delicious.
ОтветитьI've been to Frederick's a few times. I really enjoyed the chicken pakora as well. I really enjoyed this chili chicken recipe. I will be using this as a reference to when I make it on my own. Thank you.
ОтветитьI moved from Scarborough to Winnipeg and Frederick I miss the most. Thank you so much for making the video, can't wait to try it out.
ОтветитьTried it, turned out amazing! You ever tried China cottage? It's rebranded now (Pharmacy/Ellesmere) but it's really good! 🙏 thanks
ОтветитьGirl your Chicken Tikka Masala was Phenominal & you to especially is very great at what you do
ОтветитьYou talk too much before giving recipe
ОтветитьThanks for sharing.
ОтветитьPlease do again without the wine part
ОтветитьDelicious❤
ОтветитьAyyyeeeeeee Fredricks represent!
ОтветитьI wish I never started making this dish because my bf requests this and your gobi Manchurian a bit too regularly now 😂
ОтветитьThis looks so delicious 😋
